Eurovision Song Contest 2008:

The 2008 Eurovision Season is well underway and together with our Eurovision Expert Marcus Keppel-Palmer we now have weekly previews of the songs that are competing in Belgrade at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 on 20, 22 & 24 May 2008.

The Previews of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest entries will continue next week. This week - since the Melodifestivalen just finished and selected Charlotte Perrelli to represent Sweden in Belgrade this year we kept the theme and also went back a bit into the history of Swedish music at the Eurovision Song Contest and some nice stories along with it with Marcus Keppel-Palmer.
 
On the Eurovision News front this week we mentioned the drawing of the running order of the 43 songs that will compete in Belgrade this year and sadly also reported on the death of the drummer of ABBA.

ORadio in Antwerp airs a weekly radio programme called EurovisiO every Monday evening from 2200 - 2300 hours. Philip Vereyken.  A must for Eurovision freaks. Lots of nice Eurovision music, interviews and news - however, in the Flemish language. You can listen to a repeat of EurovisO by clicking here .  A huge upcoming event EurovisiO is planning is the 2nd edition of the Top 30 Flemish Songs of all time which will be broadcast on www.oradio.be on 21 April 2008 from 2100 - 2400 hours
 
Colin Berry, the legendary voice from BBC Radio 2 in the UK now hosts a Saturday Radio Show on BBC Three Counties Radio including a Eurovision Spot. Colin Berry was the spokesperson for the British jury for 25 years.
