La Republic Francaise entered Les Fatals Picards into the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest hoping for better results than in previous years.  France, together with Luxembourg and the United Kingdom each won the Eurovision Song Contest five times. Unfortunately, “L’amour a la Francaise” did not do any better than the previous French entries. It received a total of 19 points ranking France on Number 22 in the Final of the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest. Luckily for France they are part of the Big Four countries that pay 40% of the Eurovision Song Contest cost and therefore do not need to go through a Semi Final.  JP & Malcolm Whitehouse met the two main members Paul & Yvon of Les Fatals Picards.
