Interview with Polina Bogusevich (Winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Russia): The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 took place in the
Olympic Palace of Tblisi, Georgia on Sunday, 26 November 2017 with the
participation of 16 countries: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus,
Cyprus, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland,
Portugal, Russia, Serbia and the Ukraine. It was the 15th anniversary of the contest and as every year Radio
International supports the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The slogan for this year's event is "Shine Bright"
and
courtesy of radio colleagues Alain Forrotti and Ralph Hohn of a radio
station in Berlin and Belgium, Radio International is extremely happy
to be airing an interview with the Winner of the Junior Eurovision Song
Contest 2017 Polina Bogusvich who represented Russia with the song "Wings"and gained a total of 188 points from televote and jury. Enjoy this interview on the show this week.
Eurovision Spotlight - Portugal's History in the Eurovision Song Contest:
Potugal for the very first time won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017
in Kyiv, Ukraine last May with Salvador Sobral. As a result Portugal
will be hosting Eurovision 2018 on May 08, 10 an 12. It is a tradition
that Radio International takes a look at the history of the the host
country of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Our Eurovision
experts in the UK and Ireland will in turn each talk about the
Portugal's great Eurovision entries over the years. Due
to the emergency format of the show during October and November the
Eurovision Spotlight was discontinued but returns this week and catches
up with the History of Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest and each
of the correspondants will appear on the show this week to reflect on
the songs that Portugal sent to the Eurovision Song Contest over the
years. Listen to Chris Poppe, Dermot Manning, Ross Bennett and Alasdair Rendall.
It will be nice to hear some long forgotten classics again on the show
this and next week. The new series will of course focus on the National
Final Season to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.

and every week as from now is the Eurovision Birthday File brought to
you by Sir David Mann from Studio 3 in London looking at the birthdays
of Eurovision personalities over the past and coming days. Of course you
will be hearing also the music of the Eurovision Birthday Kids.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

Upcoming Events - Highlights:
Eurovision Quiz: Scratch your heads and bite your
nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck! Next week the quiz returns to the show.
The Eurovision Quiz will be discontinued
until early January when the the show returns to the normal formal from
Studio 1 in the Netherlands.
