Hightlights of the show
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017: The Summer 2017 is over and Eurovision events start picking up with the next big event coming up being the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 to take place in the Olympic Palace of Tblisi, Georgia on Sunday, 26 November 2017 with the participation of 16 countries: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Cyprus, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia and the Ukraine. It is the 15th anniversary of the contest and as every year Radio International supports the Junior Eurovision Song Contest during the weekly editions. The slogan for this year's event is "Shine Bright" and during the run up to the big event in November listen already to some of the new songs competing in Tblisi but also a look back into some of the hightlights of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest over the years to gear the fans up for the big show.
Interview with Pamela Ramljak of Feminnem (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2005 and Croatia 2010):
At a recent edition of the Eurovision Convention of Eurovision Club
Germany JP of Radio International had the pleasure meet and chat with
one of the three ladies that were representing together Bosnia &
Herzegovina in the 2005 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest with the
song " Call me" and then also in 2010 when Feminnem represented Croatia with the song " Lako je sve"
came 13th in Semi Final 2 just failing to qualify Croatia for the Grand
Final. Back in 2005 Feminnem came 14th in the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest. Listen to the interview with Pamela Ramljak of Feminnem, that JP did with the singer when she was special guest at the Eurovision Club Germany's annual convention.
Localitour d'Autore with Jalisse: Jalisse represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 reaching Number 4 with " Fiumi di parole". Meanwhile Jalisse (Fabio
and Alessandra) have been busy with many projects and new music plus
supporting young talented artists as well as hosting their own radio

Eurovision Spotlight - Portugal's History in the Eurovision Song Contest:
Potugal for the very first time won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017
in Kyiv, Ukraine last May with Salvador Sobral. As a result Portugal
will be hosting Eurovision 2018 on May 08, 10 an 12. It is a tradition
that Radio International takes a look at the history of the the host
country of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2018. Our Eurovision
experts in the UK and Ireland will in turn each talk about the
Portugal's great Eurovision entries over the years. This week Chris Poppe starts this particular series. It will be nice to hear some long forgotten classics again on the show in the weeks to come.
Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the

is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
