A Eurovision Summer 2017: The
Summer of 2017 has official begun and Radio International wants to keep
Eurovision music in the ears of the many fans around the Eurovision.
Also there are still some interviews from Eurovision 2017 left for
broadcast which you will hear on the show in the weeks to come.The
Eurovision Song Contest 2017 took place in Kyiv's International
Exhibition Centre, Ukraine on 09 & 11 May 2017 with the two Semi
Finals and the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 May 2017. Congratulations go
to Salvador and Luisa Sobral for winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Portugal for the very first time with the song "Amar pelos dois (Love for both of us)".
Over the next few weeks into the summer of 2017 Radio International
provides the perfect Post Eurovision Depression Cure (PED) and
broadcasts many of the interviews on the shows to come with the
Eurovision artists from Kyiv and more. Enjoy and don't be sad - the next
Eurovision is around the corner, in fact 08, 10 and 12 May 2018 from the
Arena MEO in Lisabon, Portugal as recently announced. :)
Eurovision Weekend in Berlin 2017: The
Eurovision Weekend in Berlin took place from Friday 14 - Sunday 16
July 2017. The event was partnered between OGAE Malta and OGAE Germany
and international fans attended a fun weekend in Germany's capital. On
the guest list were Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012), Claudia Faniello (Malta 2017) and the event is co-hosted by Glen Vella (Malta 2011). Further there was the runner up to the Germany National Selection "Unser Song 2017" - Axel Maximilian Feige. But also special guest is this year's Musical Ambassador to the Czech Republic: Martina Barta who performed the song "My Turn"
at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv. Over the coming weeks
Radio International will broadcast interviews with the artists from this
event but also listen out for interviews with the J'aime la Vlie 2017
artists on the show in the next weeks and the remaining interviews from Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv..
Interview with Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012): Back in 2012 when the Eurovision Song Contest back from the Chrystal Arena of Baku in Azerbaijan, Malta's Kurt Calleja successfully qualified his country to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "This is the night" coming 21st at the end of the voting sequence. Kurt has been on the Maltese and also International Music Scene since then and last July he was part of the lineup of the Berlin Eurovision Weekend 2017 mid July 2017 and gave a fabulous concert to the many international fans gathering for this event in Germany's capital. Also at the Eurovision Weekend 2017 in Berlin was last year's winner of the OGAEvision Song Contest - Sebastian Calleja (no relative to Kurt!:)). Sebastian introduced his lastest song to the audience but also handed over the winner's trophy to Rilli Willow who won the OGAEvision Song Contest 2017 for Israel. Radio International's David Mann caught up with Kurt Calleja and Sebastian Calleja after their soundcheck in Berlin. You can hear this interview on Radio International this week.
Live Interview with Eurovision Convention (ECON) Organiser Michael Goetz-Pijl: Early this year it was announced that a huge event is to take place in Frankfurt/Germany called the Eurovision Convention and this week the prime organiser of this event Michael Goetz-Pijl joined JP during the show for an indebt interviews regarding the Eurovision Convention 2017 which is to take place in the Alte Oper of Frankfurt, Germany on 09 and 10 September 2017 with over 30 Eurovision artists having been announced to perform their Eurovision entry during a concert but also taking part in the fans' meet and greet sessions. Localitour d'Autore with Jalisse: Jalisse represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 reaching Number 4 with "Fiumi di parole". Meanwhile Jalisse (Fabio
and Alessandra) have been busy with many projects and new music plus
supporting young talented artists as well as hosting their own radio

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
