Hightlights of the show  A Eurovision Summer 2017: The
Summer of 2017 has official begun and Radio International wants to keep
Eurovision music in the ears of the many fans around the Eurovision.
Also there are still some interviews from Eurovision 2017 left for
broadcast which you will hear on the show in the weeks to come.The
Eurovision Song Contest 2017 took place in Kyiv's International
Exhibition Centre, Ukraine on 09 & 11 May 2017 with the two Semi
Finals and the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 May 2017. Congratulations go
to Salvador and Luisa Sobral for winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Portugal for the very first time with the song "Amar pelos dois (Love for both of us)".
Over the next few weeks into the summer of 2017 Radio International
provides the perfect Post Eurovision Depression Cure (PED) and
broadcasts many of the interviews on the shows to come with the
Eurovision artists from Kyiv and more. Enjoy and don't be sad - the next
Eurovision is around the corner. :)
 Live Interview with Jimmie Wilson (San Marino 2017):
Radio International is delighted to welcome to the show live this
Wednesday Eurovision representative of San Marino 2017, although
originally from Detroit, USA Jimmie Wilson who together with four
times San Marinese Eurovision entrant Valentina Monetta, performed the
song "Spirit of the Night" which unfortunately did not qualify San
Marino for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Jimmie just
released his new album and Radio International is dying to find out more
about that album but as well Jimmie's time at the Eurovision Song
Contest in Kyiv this year. Enjoy this live interview on the show this
week.
 Eurovision Weekend in Berlin 2017: The
Eurovision Weekend in Berlin takes place from Friday 14 - Sunday 16
July 2017. The event is partnered between OGAE Malta and OGAE Germany and international fans
are more then welcome to attend. On the guest list is Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012), Claudia Faniello (Malta 2017) and the event is co-hosted by Glen Vella (Malta 2011). Further there will be the runner up to the Germany National Selection "Unser Song 2017" - Axel Maximilian Feige. But also special guest is this year's Musical Ambassador to the Czech Republic: Martina Barta who performed the song "My Turn"
at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv. Salman Tanzem of the
organising team in Berlin will be joining JP live during this week's
edition of Radio International. Details of the event and how to get tickets are available here.  Interview with Norma John (Finland 2017): One of the
most outstanding songs with a mystic touch at the Eurovision Song
Contest 2017 came from Finland's band Norma John who represented the
song "Blackbird" which unfortunately did not make it into the Grand
Final. Finland ranked 12th in Semi Final 1. JP had the pleasure to
already chat with Lasse and Lena of Norma John at the London Preview
Event earlier on in 2017. Then for a quick update in Kyiv JP talked to
both at the Nordic Party in Kyiv. Listen to the interview from Kyiv on

year the Radio International Eurovision Experts were
brainstorming what should be the summer feature during Eurovision Radio
International throughout the summer of 2017 and the team thought let's
reflect on the songs that started off the Eurovision Song Contest in
each year. 62 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest were staged over
the years and there has to be always the first song in the Running Order
of the Eurovision Song Contest. This week Ross Bennett continues the new series. It will be nice to hear some long forgotten classics again on the show in the weeks to come.  Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
 Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
