Eurovision Song Contest 2017 - PED Cure: Another
chapter in the book of the Eurovision Song Contest has been written as
the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 took place in Kyiv's International
Exhibition Centre, Ukraine on 09 & 11 May 2017 with the two Semi
Finals and the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 May 2017. Congratulations go
to Salvador and Luisa Sobral for winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Portugal for the very first time with the song "Amar pelos dois (Love for both of us)".
Over the next few weeks into the summer of 2017 Radio International
provides the perfect Post Eurovision Depression Cure (PED) and
broadcasts many of the interviews on the shows to come with the
Eurovision artists from Kyiv and more. Enjoy and don't be sad - the next
Eurovision is around the corner. :)
Interview with Claudia Faniello (Malta 2017): Malta's Claudia Faniello tried with ten songs to win the Malta Eurovision Song Contest which is the selection process to find out with song and artist will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest. At long last it paid out as she won the Maltese national final earlier on in February with the song "Breathlessly" which unfortunately did not qualify Malta for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Grand Final and remained in Semi Final 2 at Number 16. Claudia is a very diverse artist and sings many different genre. Radio International's JP caught up with Claudia Faniello during the rehearsal week in Kyiv and did a follow on interview with her which you can hear on Radio International this week.

Interview with Slavko (Montenegro 2017). Montenegro in 2017 was represented by Slavko with the song "Space". Unfortunately, the performance lacked something on stage in Kyiv and that showed back in the result. Montenegro did not qualify for the Grand Final of the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest, although the song is a great Euroclub Hit. JP and Eugene from Radio International caught up with Slavko for a follow on interview in Kyiv during the rehearsal week and chatted with the singer right after his press conference. The song "Space" received a total of 56 points in Semi Final 1 which is not enough to get into the Grand Final. Slavko is a very interesting person and has a lot to say about his various projects he is involved in. Enjoy this interview on the show this week. Interview with Timebelle (Switzerland 2017): The national in the Alpes was represented in 2017 at the Eurovision Song Contest by a three piece group called Timebelle with the song 'Apollo" which unfortunately also did not get Switzerland into the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. They ended up at Number 12 in Semi Final 2. After their Press Conference in Kyiv at the Eurovision Song Contest JP chatted with the members of the group. Interview with ONUKA (Interval Act - Eurovision Song Contest 2017: Like at every Eurovision Song Contest there are interval acts during the two Semi Finals to bridge the time for the televoters and juries to cast their votes. In Kyiv, besides interval acts Ruslana who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 for Ukraine and Jamala in 2016 another interval act was ONUKA which is a modern band. JP had the pleasure to chat with the main lady of the band to find out more about their music. Listen to the interview on this week's edition of Radio International for all the details of ONUKA.

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
