ImageEurovision Song Contest 2017 - Preview Events:  The National Final Season for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is over and now various countries offer the Eurovision Pre-view events such as Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, London Preview Event, Israel Calling, Madrid's Eurovision Party and also the Riga Eurovision Party. On Saturday, 09 April 2017 was Eurovision in Concert 2017 and Radio International's David Mann, Alasdair Rendall and JP were on location in Amsterdam and conducted interviews with the artists representing their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, Ukraine come May. Listen to these interviews on the show this week and the weeks to come. 
 
Image Interview with Mans Zelmerloew (Eurovision Winner 2015, Sweden): "We are the heroes of our time" were the famous lyrics of the Eurovision winning song 2015 when not only Mans Zelmerloew but also the fans blasted it out in full and still do singing to "Heroes". It was Sweden's 6th victory and also helped tremendously Mans with popularity not only in Sweden but worldwide. He currently promotes his album "Chameleon" and tours the United Kingdom. In London, Radio International's David Mann was invited to Mans' Tour Bus and conducted an interview on the bus. Enjoy this very particular interview on this week's edition of Radio International. 
 
Image Interview with Ruslana (Eurovision Winner 2004, Ukraine):  The Ukraine joined the Eurovision Family in 2003 and a year later they won Europe's biggest singing competition with the help of Ruslana and the song "Wild Dances". The very energetic Ruslana is a great Ambassador for her country and the Eurovision Song Contest. She is invited on many juries across Europe and adores the contest that made her big. Ruslana was part of the London Eurovision Preview Event early April and JP had the pleasure to chat with her regarding the preparations of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Ukraine. Image Interview with Brendan Murray (Ireland 2017): Starting in Semi Final 2 at Song Number 9 is Ireland's Hopefull Brendan Murray with his voice of an angel in the song "Dying to try". In 2014, Brendan became a member of the Irish boyband Hometown, managed by Louis Walsh. The band achieved three chart successes in their home country, including the number one singles "Where I Belong" in 2014, and "Cry for Help" in 2015. Their debut album, HomeTown, was released in November 2015 and peaked at number four in Ireland. David Mann from Radio International chatted with Brendan during Eurovision in Concert 2017 in Amsterdam on 08 Apri 2017. Enjoy listening to this interview on the show this week. 
 
ImageInterview with Chris West (Author): The afternoon before the London Eurovision Preview event took place at the the Cafe de Paris on 02 April 2017 there was a Media event where national and international media had their chance to interview the Eurovision 2017 performers of which many you have already heard on Radio International during the past weeks. Chris West took the chance to also promote his new book entitled "Eurovision" which was published on 20 April 2017. ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2017 by Regions: The National Selection Season to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is over and as from this week until the event in May the Radio International Experts take a look at the songs again but by regions live on Radio International. This week Marcus Keppel-Palmer closes out the min series with taking a look at the "wide" EAST of Europe and the songs going into the race in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 which will take place in Ukraine's capital Kiev on 09 May 2017 for Semi Final 1, 11 May 2017 for Semi Final 2 and the Grand Final on Saturday, 13 May 2017 from Kiev's International Exhibition Centre when 42 countries are battling it out for the trophy and the right to host Eurovision 2018.

ImageEurovision Under Cover:  This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.

ImageEurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. ImageNew Song Releases by Eurovision Artists Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show.

Good luck and win a copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you have to do is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send your answers via the website's CONTACTs form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck!
