Eurovision Song Contest 2017 - Preview Events: The National
Final Season for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is over and now
various countries offer the Eurovision Pre-view events such as
Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, London Preview Event, Israel Calling
and also the Riga Eurovision Party. On Saturday, 09 April 2017 was Eurovision in Concert 2017 and Radio
International's David Mann, Alasdair Rendall and JP were on location in Amsterdam and conducted
interviews with the
artists representing their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017
in Kiev, Ukraine come May. Listen to these interviews on the show this

Interview with Alma (France 2017): Last year Amir represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest and in 2017 the French Hopeful is Alma who will be performing the song "Requiem" in Kiev in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest since France is part of the Big Five and with this already qualified for the Grand Final. David and JP met the singer at the London Preview Event 2017 earlier on for an interview which you can hear this interview on

Interview with Claudia Faniello (Malta 2017): At long last after 9 attempts to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest Claudia Faniello won the National Final in Malta in February 2017 and will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev in Semi Final 2 at Song 5 with the song "Breathlessly" on Thursday, 11 May 2017. JP and David Mann of Radio International talked to the Maltese music ambassadors during the London Eurovision Preview Event's Press Meeting on Sunday 02 April 2017. Interview with Nathan Trent (Austria 2017): It was only in 2014 when Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest with the unforgettable Conchita Wurst and the song "Rise like a Phoenix" in Copenhagen. Nathan Trent is Austria's Hopeful to follow in the footsteps of Conchita with the song "Runing on Air" which will be performed in Semi Final 2 at Song 2. Nathan is a very positive and bubbly guy and you can hear that in the interviews in the show this week. }Interview with Norma John (Finland 2017): The last victory for Finland was back in 2006 when the monsters Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Hardrock Hallelujah". In 2017 Finland selected in their national final a very mystic sounding song and standing out to many of the others. The song is called "Blackbird" and is performed by Duo Lasse and Leena collectively known as Norma John. The song will be performed at Numebr 7 in Semi Final 1 on Tuesday, 09 May 2017 in Kiev's IEC. Normal John was
also part of the London Preview Event 2017 on 02 April 2017 and David with JP

Interview with Imri (Israel 2017): With three victories at the Eurovision Song Contest (1978, 1979 and 1998) Israel this year sends in an amazing singer by the name Imri who will be performing the song "I feel alive" closing out Semi Final 2 at song 19. Imri is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest as he performed as a backing vocalist in Israel's Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and 2016 entries, respectively with Nadav Guedj singing "Golden Boy" and Hovi Star singing "Made of Stars" with both qualifying to the finals. David Mann from Radio International chatted with Israel's Musical Ambassador at Eurovision in Concert 2017 in Amsterdam on 08 Apri 2017.

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
