ImageEurovision Song Contest 2017 - Preview Events:  The National Final Season for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is over and now various countries offer the Eurovision Pre-view events such as Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam, London Preview Event, Israel Calling and also the Riga Eurovision Party. On Saturday, 25 March 2017 was the Riga Eurovision Event in Latvia and Radio International's David Mann was the roving reporter on location and conducted interviews with the artists representing their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, Ukraine come May. Listen to these interviews on the show this week. 
 
ImageInterview with JOWST feat Aleksander Walmann (Norway 2017):  Norways Melodi Grand Prix 2017 was won by JOWST feat. Aleksander Walmann and with this also they won the ticket to represent Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The song is "Grab The Moment" and will be in Semi Final 2 on Thursday, 11 May 2017. ImageInterview with Triana Park (Latvia 2017):  Latvia's Hopefulls to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is Triana Park who won the Latvian National Final and the right to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song "Line" in Semi Final 1 on Tuesday, 09 May 2017. David Mann talked to the Latvian music ambassadors during the Riga Eurovision Party. ImageInterview with Martina Barta (Czech Republic 2017):  After successfully qualifying to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 coming 25th with the song "I stand" performed by Gabriela Gunčíková this year the Czech Replublic will be represented by Martina Barta with the song "My Turn" which will be going into the race in Semi Final 1 on Tuesday, 09 May 2017. David Mann interviewed Martina during the Eurovision Party in Riga, Latvia last weekend. ImageInterviews with participants in Melodifestivalen 2017, Sweden: The Winner of Melodifestivalen 2017 and with this title also Sweden's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 - is Robin Bengtsson with the song "I can't go on" which initially in it's Semi Final included foul language but for the Grand Final the song was cleaned up. Robin started in the Swedish version of IDOLS in 2008 which was won by Maltese Kevin Borg and Robin ended up third in this edition of IDOLS. Robin entered "Contellation Prize" into Melodifestivalen 2016 and successfully came directly into the Grand Final where it reached Number 5. JP had the pleasure to talk to Robin right after his victory in the Winner's Press Conference on his first reaction but also JP spoke to Robin at the official Opening Reception in Stockholm's Town Hall on Wednesday 08 March 2017. Listen to both interviews on the show last week in case you missed the show then as well as the other participants in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2017 in the ranking after the voting.

This week Radio International broadcasts two remaining interviews from Melodifestivalen 2017: Owe Thörnqvist who performed "Boogieman Blues" coming 12th in the Melodifestivalen 2017 Grand Final and young Lisa Ajax who performed the song "I don't give a ..." reaching Number 9 in the Final. Listen to these interviews on the show this week as JP and Marc Gehring teamed up for the interview sessions. 
 
Image Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The National Final Season 2017: The National Selection Process of the songs that will represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 is well underway. In the last quarter of 2016 Radio International went through the Eurovision entries of the Ukraine as Ukraine will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev May 09, 11 and the Grand Final on May 13 following Jamala's victory in Stockholm last May with the song "1944". Like in previous years the Radio International Eurovision Experts will be assessing the National Finals 2017 live on Radio International. Ross Bennett closes out the series taking a look at the National Finals 2017.

ImageEurovision Under Cover:  This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.

ImageEurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics such as viewing figures in the various countries and more. Nathan is website editor with escxtra.com. ImageNew Song Releases by Eurovision Artists Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show.

ImageEurovision Quiz:  Scratch your heads and bite your nails at  our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you have to do is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send your answers via the website's CONTACTs form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck!
