Hightlights of the show  Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 - The Recap (Part 1):
This week is a
rather special edition of Radio
International as members of the Team are in Malta - the Home of
the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The 14th edition
of the
Junior Eurovision Song Contest was in Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) on 20 November 2016, 1600 hours CET with the participation of 17 countries: Albania,
Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Cyprus, FYRO Macedonia, Georgia,
Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Poland, Russia, Serbia, The Netherlands and Ukraine. The show was hosted by Valerie Vella and Bed Camille and they had the honours to also announce the Winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 being Mariam Mamadashvili from Georgia with the song "Mzeo". It is also the third time that Georgia won the contest. The previous two times when Georgia won theJunior Eurovision where in 2008 and 2011. This year's theme song

the event to interview the young artists which you can

Interview with Mariam Mamadashvili (Junior Eurovision Song Contest Winner 2016, Georgia): She turned 11 years of age during the rehearsal week at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest - Mariam Mamadashvili who won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 for Georgia with the song "Mzeo" collecting 239 points. JP of Radio International had the pleasure to meet Mariam for an interview after her Press Conference but also after the Winners' Press Conference JP had the chance to chat with Mariam about her victory.  Interview with Anahit and Mary (Junior Eurovision 2016, Armenia, Number 2): Following the result of coming second in 2015 Armenia's 2016 Junior Eurovision entry also comes second this year with Anahit and Mary performing the song "Taber" reaching a total of 232 points.  Interview with Fiamma Boccia (Junior Eurovision 2016, Italy, Number 3): So far winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest once when in 2014 Vincenzo Cantiello won the contest with "Tu grande primo amore" is Italy. In 2016 Italy was represented in Malta by Fiamma Boccia performing the song "Cara Mamma" (Dear Mom) reaching a total of 209 points.  Interview with Alexa Curtis (Junior Eurovision 2016, Australia, Number 5): Australia joined both the Eurovision and Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2015. Last year Bella Paige represented Australia for the very first time at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song "My Girl" reaching Number 8. In 2016, Australia's second entry to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was Alexa Curtis who sang the song "We are" coming 5th in the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta with a total of 202 points.  Interview with Christina Magrin (Junior Eurovision 2016, Malta Number 6): Following Junior Eurovision 2015 Winner Destiny in representing Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is Christina Magrin who performed the song "Parachute" at the 2016 edition of the event. At the end of the voting host country Malta came 6th with a total of 191 points. An amazing voice with a large vocal range and covers of many Eurovision songs in her repertoire one of which the 2007 Eurovision Winning Song "Molitva" for Serbia which Christina impressively sings in Serbian. JP had a pleasure of chatting with Christina right after her Press Conference and also got her to sing parts of her Eurovision covers. Listen to this interview on the show this week.  Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Ukraine's History at the Eurovision Song Contest:
This week starting a brand new series on Radio International as our Eurovision correspondents take a look at the Eurovision entries from Ukraine since Ukraine will be hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 following Jamala's victory in Stockholm at the 61st edition of the contest with the song "1944". Ukraine initially won the Eurovision Song
Contest in 2004 after their second attempt as Ukraine only joined the Eurovision family back in 2003. The Winning Song of Ukrain's first victory was "Wild Dances" performed by Ruslana when the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 came from Istanbul, Turkey. Just recently, it was decided that the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 will be hosted once again by Ukraine's capital city Kiev on May 09 & 11 for the Semi Final 1 and 2 and the Grand Final to take place on May 13. The mini series starts this week with Ross Bennett. Enjoy the flashback into Ukraine's entries to the Eurovision Song Contest.
 Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
 Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

 New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
