Interview with Alex Larke of Electro Velvet (United Kingdom 2015):
The United Kingdom's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015
was Electro Velvet are Bianca Nicholas and Alex Larke who with the song "Still in love with you " reached Number 24 in the Grand Final of the
60th Eurovision Song Contest last year in Vienna. Alex Larke and
his
partner (not Bianca!:)) recently became proud parents of a baby -
Congratulations. Last September David Mann went to a concert where Alex
Larke was part of and met the singer after the show for an interview
which Radio International is happy to air on this week's edition of the
show. Aside from his role as one half of UK 2015 Eurovision
representatives Electro Velvet, Alex Larke regularly assumes the mantle
of Sir Mick Jagger in his role as lead singer for the Rollin' Clones,
the UK's leading Stones tribute act. The band are often on the road
performing at gigs all over the country, and they've performed abroad as
well, with a line-up that sometimes includes additional musicians and
female backing singers too. Covering the whole range of the Rolling
Stones music, from a career span of 50 years or more, gives Alex and the
Rollin' Clones plenty of scope. David Mann caught up with Alex in a
break from sound checks as he was preparing for a performance at Potters
Leisure Resort, by the seaside in eastern England, and asked him to
reflect on his Eurovision experiences in Vienna.
