Hightlights of the show  Eurovision Song Contest 2016:
The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is over and the best ever Eurovision
Song Contest was staged in the Globen Arena with two Semi Finals and a
Grand Final which was held on Saturday 14 May 2016. The 61st Eurovision
Song Contest was won by Ukraine's Jamala with the song "1944".
Many fans of the Eurovision Song Contest fall into a deep Post
Eurovision Depression as it all is over and the fans part company until
the next year. Radio International is the perfect Post Eurovision

 Eurovision Weekend in Berlin 2016 - Live Interview with Salman Tanzeem (Prime Organiser):
Just like in 2015 joining us this week live on the show Salman Tanzeem
who is one of the prime organisers of the
Eurovision Weekend in Berlin that takes place from Friday 15 - Sunday 27
July 2016. Salman will tell us all about the
event that is happening on that particular Mid-summer Eurovision Weekend
which is partnered with OGAE Netherlands and OGAE Germany and international fans
are more then welcome to attend. On the guest list is Sandra Reemer who represented the Netherlands three times (1972, 1976 and 1979) and was backing vocalist in 1983. Further there is Esther Hart who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and also on the guest list is Zoe who represented as Fans' Favourite Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. From the German side Laura Pinski will be performing her song from the German National Final 2016 which was won by Jamie-Lee. Details of the event and how to get tickets are available here.
 Interview with Argo (Greece 2016): The country of Aphrodite was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 by the group Argo with the song "Utopian Land"
which unfortunately did not qualify Greece for the very first time to
the Grand Final since the inaugeration of the Semi Finals. Greece ranked
at Number 16 in Semi Final 1 when only the Top Ten advance to the Grand
Final. Fernando and JP met the band after their Press Conference and
rehearsals. You can hear this interview on this week's

 Interview with Karl WIlliam Lund (United Kingdom National Final 2016):
Joe and Jake won the national selection the BBC hosted earlier on this
year. Six acts were presented to the audience and the public voted for
Joe and Jake who then represent the United Kingdom at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "You're not alone" which
reached Number 24 in the Grand Final in Stockholm, Sweden last May.
Competing in the UK National with Joe and Jake was a young gentleman by
the name of Karl William Lund who performed the song "Miracle".
Radio International's David Mann met Karl William for an indebt
interview which will be aired on the show this week in view of his
participation at the Berlin Eurovision Weekend 2016 on 15 - 17 July
2016.
 Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The Dreaded Number 2 Position:
Through the Summer 2016 the Radio International's Eurovision Experts
came up with the idea to take a look at the dreaded starting position of
the Euroision Song Contest from where no country ever won the
Eurovision Song Contest. This week Chris Poppe continues
the series and you will be hearing some nice Eurovision
oldies as well in this near Eurovision Spotlight. Enjoy the new Radio

 Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

 New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
