Eurovision Song Contest 2016 - The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION CURE - Dose 6:
The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is over and the best ever Eurovision
Song Contest was staged in the Globen Arena with two Semi Finals and a
Grand Final which was held on Saturday 14 May 2016. The 61st Eurovision
Song Contest was won by Ukraine's Jamala with the song "1944".
Many fans of the Eurovision Song Contest fall into a deep Post
Eurovision Depression as it all is over and the fans part company until
the next year. Radio International is the perfect Post Eurovision
Depression Cure reflecting on the past contest with interviews and

Interview with Birthe Kjaer (Demark 1989):
Besides the Eurovision Song Contest that is hosted by a country's
broadcaster there is also a lot done for the fans arriving in the host
city to enjoy the ambience and also meeting the Eurostars at the various
concerts and performance opportunity there are. Stockholm City had
built a huge tent to be the EUROCLUB but also hosted the EURO CAFE which
was open during the day for the public and the fans. Previous
Eurovision performers were also invited to meet and greet the fans and
JP of Radio International was extremely happy to meet and interview of
the greatest Eurovision icons from Denmark - Birthe Kjaer who
represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 with the song
"Vi maler byen rød" which came third in Lausanne, Switzerland. Listen to

Interview with Argo (Greece 2016): The country of Aphrodite was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 by the group Argo with the song "Utopian Land"
which unfortunately did not qualify Greece for the very first time to
the Grand Final since the inaugeration of the Semi Finals. Greece ranked
at Number 16 in Semi Final 1 when only the Top Ten advance to the Grand
Final. Fernando and JP met the band after their Press Conference and
rehearsals. You can hear this interview on this week's

Interview with Highway (Montenegro 2016): Following in the foodsteps of Knez in 2015 Montenegro was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 by the band Highway that unfortunately did not qualify for the Grand FInal this year. The song "The Real Thing"
ranked at Number 13 in the Semi Final 1 when only the Top Ten advance
to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Radio
International's Fernando and JP caught up with the band during the
rehearal week in Stockholm and interviewed them in the Press Centre.

Interview with ManuElla (Slovenia 2016): Slovenia was represented by ManuElla performing the song "Blue and Red"
which unfortunately only received 57 points in Semi Final 2 ranking
Slovenia at Number 14. Only the the Top 10 advanced to the Grand
Final
of the Eurovision Song Contest. After ManuElla's first press
conference. Eric of Radio International met the singer with for an

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The Dreaded Number 2 Position:
Through the Summer 2016 the Radio International's Eurovision Experts
came up with the idea to take a look at the dreaded starting position of
the Euroision Song Contest from where no country ever won the
Eurovision Song Contest. This week Alasdair Rendall continues
this brand new series and you will be hearing some nice Eurovision
oldies as well in this near Eurovision Spotlight. Enjoy the new Radio
International Summer series.
Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

Eurovision Gap many Eurovision Clubs will be holding their annual

nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
