The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is over and the best ever Eurovision
Song Contest was staged in the Globen Arena with two Semi Finals and a
Grand Final which was held on Saturday 14 May 2016. The 61st Eurovision
Song Contest was won by Ukraine's Jamala with the song "1944".
Many fans of the Eurovision Song Contest fall into a deep Post
Eurovision Depression as it all is over and the fans part company until
the next year. Radio International is the perfect Post Eurovision
Depression Cure reflecting on the past contest with interviews and

Interview with Shirley Clamp and Velvet (Melodifestivalen contestants, Sweden): For
those of you who follow the Swedish music scene and the national final
of Sweden, The Melodifestivalen know the two ladies. Shirley Clamp and
Velvet both tried a number of times to win Melodifestivalen and with the
the ticket to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Unfortunately, no luck as yet. Shirley Clamp almost won Melodifestivalen
in 2004 as she reached Number 2 with "Min kärlek" and Velvet took part
three times and the best result for her was in 2006 when she could
advance to the Second Chance of Melodifestivalen with the song "Mi
Amore". The other hit Velvet had was back in 2009 with "The Queen". Both
singers were the Hosts of the EUROCLUB in Stockholm during the
Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The Dreaded Number 2 Position:
Through the Summer 2016 the Radio International's Eurovision Experts
came up with the idea to take a look at the dreaded starting position of
the Euroision Song Contest from where no country ever won the
Eurovision Song Contest. This week Ross Bennett continues
this brand new series and you will be hearing some nice Eurovision
oldies as well in this near Eurovision Spotlight. Enjoy the new Radio

Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
