The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is over and the best ever Eurovision
Song Contest was staged in the Globen Arena with two Semi Finals and a
Grand Final which was held on Saturday 14 May 2016. The 61st Eurovision
Song Contest was won by Ukraine's Jamala with the song "1944".
Many fans of the Eurovision Song Contest fall into a deep Post
Eurovision Depression as it all is over and the fans part company until
the next year. Radio International is the perfect Post Eurovision
Depression Cure reflecting on the past contest with interviews and

Interview with Hovi Star (Israel 2016): The young singer Hovi Star represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Made of Stars"
which successfully could qualify his country from Semi Final 2 to the
Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 and there at the end of
the exciting voting at the end of the show came 14th. Fernando and JP
met the funny singer from Israel for an interview after his press
conference during rehearsal week. Listen to this interview on this

Interview with Donny Montell (Lithuania 2016): Already in 2012 young Donny Montell represented Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku with the song "Love is blind"
that reached Number 14. Something made Donny to return to the
Eurovision stage going through a lengthy National Final process in his
country which he won with the song "I've been waiting for this night"
which also made it to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest
2016 in Stockholm and at the end of the exciting voting night at the
Grand Final Lithuania ranked at Number 9. Donny already said that he
wants to return to the contest in the very near future. Fernando and JP
met the young singer for an interview after his press conference.

Interview with Lighthouse X (Denmark 2016): Denmarks Ambassadors to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 were Lighthouse X
(10) who unfortunately did not make it into the Grand Final. They
ranked 17th in Semi Final 2 which is not enough to qualify Denmark for
the Grand Final when only the Top Ten advance. The song was "Soldiers of Love"
and Radio International's David Mann met the young singers for a brief

Interview with Freddie (Hungary 2016): Over the recent years
Hungary was rather successful securing a place in the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest. So it happened in 2016 when Freddie
successfully qualified Hungary for the Grand Final with the song
"Pioneer" which ranked 19th at the end of the Grand Final voting.
Fernando and JP of Radio International met the young singer with a rocky
voice right after his Press Conference for an interview. Listen to the

Interview with Laura Tesoro (Belgium 2016): Following the great success of Lois Nottet in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, in 2016 Belgium again had a success formula with young Laura Tesoro who successfully qualified Belgium to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "What's the pressure"
which ranked at Number 10 at the end of the Grand Final voting.
Fernando and JP met the singer for an interview after her rehearsal and
press conference in Stockholm.

Interview with Nina Kraljic (Croatia 2016): Croatia returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a two year absence and successfully could qualify for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Nina Kraljic performed the song "Lighthouse" which ranked 23rd at the end of the Grand Final Voting. Latest news Radio International received in connection with this year's Croatian entry is that Nina was awarded the Barbara Dex Award 2016. Congratulations! :) Fernando and JP met the singer for an interview after her Press Concerence and rehearsal. Listen to it on this week's edition of Radio International.This interview will be broadcaston Radio International next week. There was not enough time for broadcasting it this week. Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
