Eurovision Song Contest 2016 not long to go: The Eurovision Song
Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden is just around the corner and many
delegations and countries who take part in the contest are on their way
to Sweden. This week Eurovsion Radio International has the final show
before departing to Stockholm for two weeks. For the next two editions
Radio International will broadcast the annual traditional Eurovision
2015 meets Eurovision 2016 on May 04 and 11 from Stockholm in Sweden,
but there will also be special PODCASTS available and many more
interviews with this year's Eurostars will appear on your YouTube
Channel. So keep an eye on that and on our Facebook Group Eurovision
Radio International for constant updates. But for the show this week -
more Eurostars 2016 in interview bringing you the artists a little bit
closer and preparing you for Eurovision 2016. Read on for the details.

The Radio International Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Chart: Over
the past few days Team Members of Radio International as well as fans
to the show have been voting and ranking to songs of the Eurovision Song
Contest 2016. On this week's show JP will run down all the songs of
this year's contest as voted for. What is topping the list? And then
will this match the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Final result on 14 May

Live Interview with Hera Björk (Iceland 2010): A huge Fans' favourite amongst the fans of the Eurovision Song Contest is Iceland's Hera Björk who
has been on the Eurovision stage more than once. She was backing
vocalist for the Icelandic entries of 2008 (Euroband), 2009 (Yohanna)
and 2015 (Maria Olafs) but also represented Iceland in 2010 with the
song "Je ne sais quoi" which came 19th in Oslo in the Grand Final
of the Eurovision Song Contest. Hera is a very diverse artist and has
been invited to many Fan conventions across Europe and beyond plus
winning the Vina del Mar International Song Contes 2013 t with the song "Because you can". She also competed in the Danish national final 2009 coming second with the song "Someday".
On 09 April 2016 she co-hosted the annual Eurovision in Concert in
Amsterdam, The Netherlands and now she will take her new show to
Eurovision Town 2016 - Stockholm, Sweden The show is called "Hera Björk - The Queen of Effing Everything"
and will premier in Stockholm. There are two performances planned on
Saturda, 07 May 2016 (1730 and 2100 hours CET) in the venue: Playhouse
Teater, Drottninggatan 71a, 11136 Stockholm, Sweden. Tickets can be

Interview with Michal Szpak (Poland 2016): Poland's
representative to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is Michal Szpak who
will be performing "The color of your life" in Semi Final 2 at Song 2 in
Stockholm on Thursday, 12 May 2016. Michal has been attending many of
the Eurovision preview events such as Amsterdam's Eurovision in Concert,
The London Pre-view event and Israel calling. Radio International's
David Mann in the Radio International Studio 3 in London interviews
Michal during the show which you can hear on this week's edition of
Radio International.
Interview with Douwe Bob (Netherlands 2016): The Dutch Ambassador to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is Amsterdammer Douwe Bob who will perform a country song called "Slow Down"
in Semi Final 1 at Song 6. With this he goes into the footsteps of The
Common Linnetts who in 2014 almost won the Eurovision Song Contest with
the song "Calm after the storm". Douwe Bob was at Eurovision in
Concert in Amsterdam on 09 April 2016 where Radio International's David
Mann chatted with the young singer about his Eurovision participation

Interview with Francesca Michielin (Italy 2016): Italy's entry
to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is young Francesca Michelien who
came through Italy's legendary San Remo Song Festival 2016 and was
nominated to represent Italy at this year's biggest European music
contest with the song "No degree of Separation" which due to Italy being
part of the Big Five will be automatically qualified for the Grand
Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.. Alasdair had the pleasure to
chat with the Francesca at Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam on 09
April

Interview with Eneda Tarifa (Abania 2016): With being one of the
early countries to select their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest
late in 2015 with Festivali i Këngës, Albania will be represented by a Eneda Tarifa who will compete with the song "Fairytale"
in Semi Final 2 at Number 18 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in
Stockholm. Alasdair Rendall chatted with the singer at the Press Meeting
of Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam on 09 April 2016. Find out all

Interview with Nicki French (United Kingdom 2000 & Host of the London Eurovision Preview Event 2016): She would "kill" to go back to Eurovision as she told Radio International in previous interviews - Nicki French who
represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovison Song Contest 2000 also
coming from Stockholm, Sweden from the Globen Arena. Back then she
performed the song "Don't play that song again" which came 16th
in the final ranking of the night. Five year's earlier - in 1995, she
had a chart smash all over Europe with a dance version of Bonnie Tyler's
"Total eclipse of the heart". Again Nicki is the favourite
presenter to host the Eurovision Preview event in London's Cafe de Paris
on 17 April 2016 and David Mann from Radio International had the big
pleasure to chat with Nicki on this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Hear

Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck! Due to the busy show this week the Eurovision Quiz will return when the Team of Radio International is back from Stockholm on 18 May 2016. Then also the outstanding draws will be done.
