Hightlights of the show
Eurovision Preview Events 2016: The National Final Season 2016 is over and all the songs that are competing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden come May have been selected. Various countries invited participating countries to various Preview or Promo Events such as Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam on 09 April 2016, The London Preview Event on 17 April 2016 as well as the Tel Aviv in Israel and for the second time in a row the annual Eurovision Pre-Party in Riga, Latvia which took place on Saturday 02 April 2016. Members of the Team of Radio International were present at this and in collaboration with joinusoneurovision.blogspot.com interviewed many of the artists that were invited to Riga, Amsterdam and London during the Press Meeting prior to the concerts. During the past couple of weeks Radio International already broadcast many interviews with artists that went to the Riga PreParty and as well to Amsterdam's Eurovision in Concert 2016 and this week there more interviews with artists appearing at the London PreView Event in Cafe de Paris on Sunday 17 April 2016 - bringing you the Eurovision artists closer.
Interview with Amir (France 2016): Selling like Hot Cakes in France is Amir's Eurovision offering " J'ai cherche" which is doing very well in his home country France on the sales chart but as well on the airplay charts. Amir was
part of the guest line up at Eurovision in Concert 2016 in Amsterdam,
The Netherlands and Ally
from Radio International and OGAE UK and JP chatted with the French
singer at the Media Event prior to the concert in Amsterdam's Melkweg.
France is part of the Big 5 countries and thus does not need to go
through the Semi Final stage, is qualified directly for the Grand Final.

Interview with Greta Salome (Iceland 2012 & 2016): Back in 2012 Greta Salome
represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku together
with Icelandic Eurovision entrant 2004 Jonsi ("Heaven"). They song in
2012 was called " Never forget" and reached Number 20. In 2016
Greta entered the 30th Icelandic National Final and went through the
Semi Final into the Grand Final and won this with the song " Hear them calling"
which will compete in Stockholm in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 16 on 10
May 2016. Greta was part of the Eurovision in Concert 2016 Line Up and
Ally & JP met the singer for an interview at the Press Meeting prior
to the concert in Amsterdam's Melkweg. Also part of this interview is
the Artistic Director who is behind the staging of the song in

Interview with Ivan (Belarus 2016): He wants to perform naked on the Eurovision stage being accompanied by wolves on the stage when Ivan represents Belarus and performs the song "H elp you fly"
in Semi Final 2 as Song Number 5 int he Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in
Stockholm, Sweden. JP met the singer at the Eurovision PreParty 2016 in
Riga on 02 April 2016 and had the pleasure to conduct an interview you

Interview with Joe & Jake (United Kingdom 2016): The United Kingdom will be represented by Joe & Jake at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song " You are not alone"
and as the United Kingdom is part of the Big 5 countries Joe and Jake
do not need to go through the Semi Finals and directly are qualified
to
sing in the Grand Final. Joe & Jake won the UK National Final
earlier on this year after the BBC decided to give the public the
choice
to select the UK entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. David
Mann had the pleasure to chat with the guys at Eurovision in Concert in
Amsterdam on 09 April

Interview with Minus One (Cyprus 2016): Cyrpus will be represented by a band called Minus One who will sompete with " Alter Ego"
in Semi Final 1 at Number 11 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in
Stockholm. Alasdair Rendall chatted with the group at the Press Meeting
of Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam on 09 April 2016. Find out all

Interview with Nicki French (United Kingdom 2000 & Host of the London Eurovision Preview Event 2016): She would "kill" to go back to Eurovision as she told Radio International in previous interviews - Nicki French who
represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovison Song Contest 2000 also
coming from Stockholm, Sweden from the Globen Arena. Back then she
performed the song " Don't play that song again" which came 16th
in the final ranking of the night. Five year's earlier - in 1995, she
had a chart smash all over Europe with a dance version of Bonnie Tyler's
" Total eclipse of the heart". Again Nicki is the favourite
presenter to host the Eurovision Preview event in London's Cafe de Paris
on 17 April 2016 and David Mann from Radio International had the big
pleasure to chat with Nicki on this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Hear

Interview with Scott Mills (BBC Radio 1 DJ and Commentator for the United Kingdom of the Eurovision Semi Finals):
Scott Mills presents various shows on BBC Radio 1 and also on BBC TV
such as the Lottery Show and others. While Graham Norton took over from
Terry Wogan in 2009 to be the commentor the BBC in the Grand Final of
the Eurovision Song Contest, Scott Mills does do the commenting
on the Semi Finals now on BBC Four. Scott was also part at the London
Preview Event on Sunday 17 April 2016 and Radio International's David
Mann had the pleasure to chat with his radio colleague about the
upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2016 in Regions: For
the next few weeks the Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the 2016 Eurovision entries per region and this week Alasdair Rendall will be laking a look at the Central Eurovision countries that are competing at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2016. This week hear the songs from Austria, Bosnia & Herzegowina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia and Slovenia. In addition, each week our correspondents
will be asked to tell us their personal favourite but also their tip
what could actually win the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Sweden will host the Eurovision
Song Contest 2016 in the Globen Arena of Stockholm next May with the
Grand Final on the 14 May 2016 and the the Semi Finals on 10 & 12
May 2016, respectively.
Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
