Eurovision Preview Events 2016 - Riga Eurovision Pre-Party and Eurovision in Concert - Live Interview with Rene Romkes: The
National Final Season 2016 is over and all the songs that are competing
at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden come May have
been selected. Various countries started to invite participating
countries to their Preview or Promo Events such as Eurovision in Concert
in Amsterdam on 09 April 2016, The London Preview Event on 17 April
2016 as well as the latest being added is Tel Aviv in Israel and for the
second time in a row the annual Eurovision Pre-Party in Riga, Latvia
which took place on Saturday 02 April 2016. JP of Radio International
was present at this and in collaboration with joinusoneurovision.com
interviewed all the artists that were invited. The first lot of
interviews will be broadcast on Radio International this week and more
to come within the next weeks. The next Promo event is Eurovision in
Concert this weekend and Rene Romkes who is part of the organising team
will be joining JP on the show this week to talk about this weekend's
event.
Interview with Ira Losco (Malta 2002 & 2016): Back in 2002 Malta came second at he Eurovision Song Contest with Ira Losco and her entry "7th Wonder".
In 2014, together with the smiling doctor Gianluca Bezzina (Malta
2013), Ira Losco hosted the Maltese National Final. Then in January 2016
Ira Losco entered the Malta Eurovision Song Contest competing with two
songs out of which "Cameleon" made it to the Final and won it.
Shortly after, Maltese broadcaster pbs made use of its rule to change
the song which was publish on 13 March 2016, Now Malta will be
represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 by Ira Losco and the
song "Walk on Water" and will compete in Semi Final 1 on Tuesday,
10 May 2016. JP met Ira in Riga for an interview you can hear on this
week's edition of Radio International.

Interview with Poli Genova (Bulgaria 2011 & 2016): Also the Bulgarian entrant is a repeat offender to the Eurovision Song Contest as Poli Genova already represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Na na'inat" which failed to qualify for the Grand Final. In November 2015 Poli Genova hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest from Sofia, Bulgaria and shortly afterwards Bulgarian TV decided to send again Poli to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "If love was a crime" which competes in Semi Final 2 of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 on Thursday, 12 May 2016. JP chatted with Poli in Riga right after the Press Conference of the event. You can also watch this interview on our YouTube Channel - click here Interview with Hovi Star (Israel 2016): One of the most funniest representative Israel has sent into the Eurovision Song Contest is this year's hopeful Hovi Star who will be representing Israel with the song "Made of Stars" which competes in Sem Final 2 of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 on Thursday, 12 May 2016. Juri was also part of the Eurovision Pre-Partyin Riga, Latvia and gave an interview to Radio International which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International. Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2016 in Regions: For
the next few weeks the Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the 2016 Eurovision entries per region and this week Dermot Manning will be staring with the Southern Eurovision countries that are competing at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2016. This week hear the songs from Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, FYRO Macedonia, Malta and San Marino. In addition, each week our correspondents
will be asked to tell us their personal favourite but also their tip
what could actually win the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Sweden will host the Eurovision
Song Contest 2016 in the Globen Arena of Stockholm next May with the
Grand Final on the 14 May 2016 and the the Semi Finals on 10 & 12
May 2016, respectively.
Eurovision Under Cover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the

is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck! Due to lack of time the draw of the quiz will be postponed to next week's edition of Radio International.
