Hightlights of the show Tribute to Sir Terry Wogan (BBC TV Eurovision Commentator):
Sad news hit the Eurovision World and the people in the United Kingdom
as on Sunday morning it was announced that one of if not the best
broadcaster of our time Sir Terry Wogan had passed away suffering from
cancer for a short period of time. He died on 31 January 2016 surrounded
by his family. Terry Wogan was the BBC TV's commentator for many years
before Graham Norton took over the job. Sir Terry Wogan also hosted many
television shows as well radio shows on the BBC such as WAKE UP TO
WOGAN or WEEKEND WOGAN. BBC Radio 2 and BBC TV have been broadcasting
tribute shows to remember the great broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan. Also
Radio International will be paying tribute to Sir Terry Wogan during
this week's edition of Radio International produced by David Mann.
Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2016: The Malta Eurovision Song
Contest 2016 is the national selection of Malta to select their entry to
the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 to take place in Stockholm, Sweden
come May. On Friday 22 January 2016 20 acts competed for the Top 14
place to advance to the Final which was held on Saturday, 23 January
2016. The Winner of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is Ira Losco
selected by six judges and the Maltese Public by Televoting. The event
took place in the legendary Mediterrranean Conference Centre in Valetta,
the same venue where Glen Vella won with "One Life" in 2011 and Debbie Scerri with "Let me fly" in 1997 and many others too. The show was organised and broadcast by Malta's Public Broadcasting Services - pbs and and webcast also on eurovision.tv where you still can watch the show in case you missed it. Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The National
Final Season 2016: The National Selection Process of the songs
that will represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 is
well under way. In the last quarter of 2015 Radio International went
through the best picks of Sweden's National Final - The Melodifestivalen
where our Eurovision Experts selected what they thought is the best
songs per year. Sweden will host the Eurovision
Song Contest 2016 in the Globen Arena of Stockholm next May with the
Grand Final on the 14 May 2016 and the the Semi Finals on 10 & 12
May 2016, respectively. Like in previous years the Radio
International Eurovision Experts will be assessing the National
Finals
2016 live on Radio International. Ross Bennett continues this week with the new
season taking a look at the National Finals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly

such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
