Irish Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015:
Europe and Australia is fast approaching their Junior Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 debut which will be staged in Sofia, Bulgaria on 22 November 2015
from the Arena Armeec where so far 17 countries have confirmed
participation in the music competition for children including newcomers
Australia and Ireland. Editor in Chief of Eurovision Ireland Garrett Mulhall joins Radio International on a weekly basis to update the
listeners on the progress in the Irish selection process for the Junior
Eurovision Song Contest 2015 as well as the overall JESC progress. A
former Eurovision Winner as well as two times participant at the
Eurovision Song Contest is involved - Niamh Kavanagh. The official

Last Sunday saw Semi Final 4 of the Irish Junior Eurovision 2015 selection with Zena Donnelly advancing into the Final with "I d’Aonair". Live Interview with Eoghan McDermott (Host of the Irish Junior Eurovision Selection 2015): Continuing
with the theme of the Irish - in fact, the very first Irish national
selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 as Ireland will
debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Four Heats and a Final
decide which of the young hopefulls will represent Ireland in Sofia on
22 November 2015. Radio International is extremely happy to welcome to
the show two guests. Eoghan McDermott is the host of the show and
we will find out more about the selection shows and backstage gossip
(hopefully!)and more. Eoghan is not only TV presenter on TG4 buthe also
hosts radio shows in Ireland and the United Kingdom plus he is also an
actor, dancer and choreographer.
Live Interview with Stiofan O'Fearail (Judge of the Irish Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 selection): Besides
two Eurovision performers from Ireland namely, Niamh Kavanagh, who won
Eurovision in 1993 for Ireland with "In your eyes" and later returned to
Eurovision in 2010 with "It's for you". And Brian Kennedy who
represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Every song is a cry for love" reaching Number 10, the third judge is Stiofan O'Fearail
who is part of a band called Seo Linn. JP will be chatting with both
guests and find out more about the Stiofan. The big Grand Final of the
Irish National Selection will be broadcast come Sunday, 08 November 2015
on TG4.

Newscaster Luke Fisher who works now in the European Broadcasting Union
(EBU) Junior Eurovision department will be joining JP this week for an
update and how things are going on in Sofia. Luke will have lots of
insider knowledge and informs the fans and journalists who will be
travelling to Sofia about some practicalities. Welcome back - Luke! The

Interview with Andras Kallay-Saunders (Hungary 2015): Saturday 31
October 2015, OGAE Luxembourg held their 8th Eurovision Galanight in
the Casino 2000 in Mondorf Les Bains, Luxembourg with a great lineup of
Eurovision artists such as Eurovision Winner Gigliola Cinquetti (Italy
1964 & 1974, the winner Ruslana (Ukraine 2004), SINPLUS (Switzerland
2012, Nadine Beiler (Austria 2011), Sestre (Slovenia 2002), Baccara
(Luxembourg 1978) just to mention a few. Amonst the guests was also
Hungary's Andras Kallay-Saunders who represented Hungary at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Running" which came 5th.
Radio International interviewed most of the artists and this week listen

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The Best of Melodifestivalen: With the victory of Mans Zelmerloew in Vienna winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Heroes"
the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will be stage in Stockholm's Globen
Arena in Sweden next May. Without doubt Swedish Television produces the
biggest National Final there is to select the song that represents
Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest filling large halls across the
country in the stages of Melodifestivalen - sometimes even bigger than
the Eurovision Song Contest itself. In view of the upcoming event in
Stockholm the team of Radio International looks back at some of the
greatest songs that emerged from the Melodifestivalen over the years.
The series starts this week with Chris Poppe who takes a look at Melodifestivalen 2007.
Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
