 Eurovision Song Contest 2015 - The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION Cure: What
an amazing 60th Eurovision Song Contest ORF and EBU staged in the
Wiener Stadthalle in three amazing shows with two Semi Finals and the
Grand Final on Saturday 23 May 2015. 40 countries competed with 20
countries making it into the Grand Final meeting the the Host Country
Austria as well as the Big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United
Kingdom) plus special guest Australia. The 60th contest was won by Måns Zelmerloew from Sweden with the song "Heroes"
Many fans and journalists left Vienna with tears in their eyes saying
farewell to two weeks of a real good time departing from the Eurovision
Family for yet another year. The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION (PED) has
conquered Europe and beyond and Eurovision Radio International is the
best cure for it week by week as we reflect on the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 with broadcasting the many interviews done in Vienna. For

of the Eurovision Weekend in Berlin took place from Friday, 17 July
2015 to Sunday 19 July 2015 where national and international fans
gathered to celebrate a Eurovision Summer party with the participation
of three Eurovision performers: Kisten Siggaard (Denmark 1984, 1985
& 1988), DQ (Denmark 2007) and Ann Sophie (Germany 2015). It was the
fourth Eurovision Weekend held in the centre of Berlin organised by a
branch of OGAE Germany partnering with OGAE Denmark. Previous years'
partner countries where the United Kingdom, Israel and Finland and the
event has become a landmark on the summer calendar for the many fans of
the Eurovision Song Contest. On Saturday there was a Press Conference
followed by one to one Interview sessions with the artists and later on
in the evening there was the concert where the Eurovision performers
each sang a few songs including their Eurovision entry (entries). On
this week's edition of Radio International listen to Eric and JP
chatting with Denmark's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest
2007 - DQ who with the song "Drama Queen" ended up at
Number 19 in the very first Semi Final of the Eurovision Song Contest
back in 2007 which was bigger in number of participants than the Grand
Final. DQ is not only a great singer but also very good in hosting shows
- so he co-hosted the Berlin Weekend as well. Listen to the indepth

 Interview with Valentina Monetta (San Marino 2012, 2013 and 2014). San
Marino first participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 but since
then never managed to qualify for the Grand Final of the Eurovision
Song Contest until 2014 when Valentina Monetta in her third consecutive attempt passed from the Semi Final with the song "Maybe"
written by Mauro Ballestri and composed by Ralph Siegel. In the Grand
Final it reached Number 24. The same team already tried it in 2012 with
the "Socia Network Song" and also in 2013 with "Crisalide"
which both
failed to qualify for the Grand Final. JP met Valentina in the Press
Centre in Vienna at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 as she came to
support Michele Perniola and Anita Simonicini performing "The Chain of Lights" and caught up with her in an interview which you can hear on this

 Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight: Debut countries at Eurovision: The
summer has arrived and that also means the start of a new series on
Radio International linked to a Eurovision theme. The Radio
International Eurovision Experts put their brains together and came up
with the great idea to reflext on the countries that debuted during the
60 years of the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The series continues this week with Chris Poppe who will take a look at the debut entries of Malta, Moldova, Monaco and Montenegro.
 Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.  Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special

such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
