Evridiki (Theokleous) is no stranger to the World of the Eurovision Song Contest. She already represented Cyprus twice before in 1992 and 1994 before coming back to sing a song in the French language for Cyprus at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. In both previous appearances on the contest she reached Number 11 with 57 points in 1992 when she sang “Teriazoume” and “Ime Anthropos Ki Ego” back in 1994 which received 51 points.

Evridiki also appeared as a backing vocalist in Eurovision on three separate occasions, in 1983, 1986, and 1987.

Unfortunately, Evridiki could not get enough votes for her performance of “Comme Ci, Comme Ca” in the Semi Final to qualify for the Final of the 52^nd Eurovision Song Contest which was staged in Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena in Finland on 12 May 2007. 

On Friday, 20 April 2007, JP met Evridiki at a Press Boat trip on Antwerp’s Schelde River organised by the Belgian Eurovision website www.12points.tv.
