Eurovision Song Contest 2015 - The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION Cure: What
an amazing 60th Eurovision Song Contest ORF and EBU staged in the
Wiener Stadthalle in three amazing shows with two Semi Finals and the
Grand Final on Saturday 23 May 2015. 40 countries competed with 20
countries making it into the Grand Final meeting the the Host Country
Austria as well as the Big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United
Kingdom) plus special guest Australia. The 60th contest was won by Måns Zelmerloew from Sweden with the song "Heroes"
Many fans and journalists left Vienna with tears in their eyes saying
farewell to two weeks of a real good time departing from the Eurovision
Family for yet another year. The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION (PED) has
conquered Europe and beyond and Eurovision Radio International is the
best cure for it week by week as we reflect on the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 with broadcasting the many interviews done in Vienna. For

Interview with Ann Sophie (Germany 2015): The 2015
edition of the Eurovision Weekend in Berlin took place from Friday, 17
July 2015 to Sunday 19 July 2015 where national and international fans
gathered to celebrate a Eurovision Summer party with the participation
of three Eurovision performers: Kisten Siggaard (Denmark 1984, 1985
& 1988), DQ (Denmark 2007) and Ann Sophie (Germany 2015). It was the
fourth Eurovision Weekend held in the centre of Berlin organised by a
branch of OGAE Germany partnering with OGAE Denmark. Previous years'
partner countries where the United Kingdom, Israel and Finland and the
event has become a landmark on the summer calendar for the many fans of
the Eurovision Song Contest. On Saturday there was a Press Conference
followed by one to one Interview sessions with the artists and later on
in the evening there was the concert where the Eurovision performers
each sang a few songs including their Eurovision entry (entries). On
this week's edition of Radio International listen to Eric and JP
chatting with Germany's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest
2015 - Ann Sophie who with the song "Black Smoke" ended up
at Number 27 of the Grand Final. Ann Sophie impressed the fans in the
concert with her performance of material from her current album "Silver

Interview with the Bobbysocks (Winners of 1985, Norway): It was 30 years ago when the Bobbysocks took the first victory for Norway with the song "La det swinge" back in 1985 from the Skandinavian Hall of Gothenburg. Bobbysocks are
Norwegian Hanne Krogh and Swedish-Norwegian Elisabeth Andreassen who
themselves performed at the Eurovision Song Contest in their own rights
and with other artists as well. Details you can find here.
To comemorate the 30th anniversary of this particular Eurovision
victory the Bobbysocks were invited by the organisers of Eurovision in
Concert 2015 in Amsterdam earlier on this year and performed at the end
of the evening. Eric and JP met the lovely ladies and conducted an
interview with the Bobbysocks you can hear on this week's edition of

Interview with Elhaida Dani (Albania 2015): Elhaida Dani represented Albania at the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 with the song "I'm alive" which started in Semi
Final 1 and successfully qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision
Song Contest 2015. At the end of the voting Elhaida Dani ranked Albania
at Number 16 with 34 points. Like so many Eurovision participating
countries are aiming at promoting their entries as much as possible
Elhaida also appeared at the London Preview Event in April 2015. Radio
International's David Mann met the singer for an interview which you can
hear on this week's edition of Radio
International.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight: Debut countries at Eurovision: The
summer has arrived and that also means the start of a new series on
Radio International linked to a Eurovision theme. The Radio
International Eurovision Experts put their brains together and came up
with the great idea to reflext on the countries that debuted during the
60 years of the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The series continues this week with Marcus Keppel-Palmer who will take a look at the debut entries of Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and FYRO Macedonia.
Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
