 Eurovision Song Contest 2015 - The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION Cure: What
an amazing 60th Eurovision Song Contest ORF and EBU staged in the
Wiener Stadthalle in three amazing shows with two Semi Finals and the
Grand Final on Saturday 23 May 2015. 40 countries competed with 20
countries making it into the Grand Final meeting the the Host Country
Austria as well as the Big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United
Kingdom) plus special guest Australia. The 60th contest was won by Måns Zelmerloew from Sweden with the song "Heroes"
Many fans and journalists left Vienna with tears in their eyes saying
farewell to two weeks of a real good time departing from the Eurovision
Family for yet another year. The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION (PED) has
conquered Europe and beyond and Eurovision Radio International is the
best cure for it week by week as we reflect on the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 with broadcasting the many interviews done in Vienna. For
the results of the Semi Finals and the Grand Final please go to eurovision.tv or click here.  Interview with Maria Olafs (Iceland 2015): Representing Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015
was Maria Olafs who competed for the ticket to the Grand
Final in Semi Final 2 where she ranked at Number 15 with a total of
14 points unfortunately not enough to qualify for the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Maria had a Eurovision famous Backing
Vocalist with her on stage and she herself represented Iceland at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Je ne sais quoi" back
in 2010 reaching Number 19. In the year before, in 2009 she was also a
Backing Vocalist with Yohanna in "Is it true" - we are talking about the
one and only Hera Bjoerk. During the rehearsal week JP had the pleasure
to meet the Maria in the
Vienna Press Centre for an interview you can hear this week's edition
of Radio International.

 Interview with Amber (Malta 2015): The Ambassadores of the sunny island of Malta at this year's Eurovision Song Contest was Amber who represented her country with the song "Warrior"
in Semi Final 2. Unfortunately, this year Malta's entry did not receive
enough points to secure a place in the Grand FInal of the 60th
Eurovision Song Contest and ranked at Number 11 in Semi Final 2 as only
the Top 10 advance into the Grand Final. But nevertheless, it was Amber's best performance of "Warrior"
in the show. More luck next time for the sunny country. JP had the
pleasure of conducting an
interview with Amber after her first Press Conference in Vienna.

 Interview with Ray Caruana of Live Report (Eurovision 1989): Earlier
on in April of 2015 the London Preview Event of Eurovision 2015 too
place in Cafe de Paris in London. Radio International's David Mann was
on location and chatted with some of the artists there including Ray Caruana who represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1989 coming second with the song "Why do I always get it wrong"
as part of Live Report. Five years on Ray returned to his native Malta
where he entered into the national final of Malta in 1994 and also came
second with the "Scarlet Song". Listen to the interview David did with Ray in London on this week's edition of Radio International. Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight: Debut countries at Eurovision: The
summer has arrived and that also means the start of a new series on
Radio International linked to a Eurovision theme. The Radio
International Eurovision Experts put their brains together and came up
with the great idea to reflext on the countries that debuted during the
60 years of the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The series continues this week with Chris Poppe who takes a look at the debut entries of Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark and Estonia.
 Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.  Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special

such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
