 Eurovision Song Contest 2015 - The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION Cure: What
an amazing 60th Eurovision Song Contest ORF and EBU staged in the
Wiener Stadthalle in three amazing shows with two Semi Finals and the
Grand Final on Saturday 23 May 2015. 40 countries competed with 20
countries making it into the Grand Final meeting the the Host Country
Austria as well as the Big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United
Kingdom) plus special guest Australia. The 60th contest was won by Måns Zelmerloew from Sweden with the song "Heroes"
Many fans and journalists left Vienna with tears in their eyes saying
farewell to two weeks of a real good time departing from the Eurovision
Family for yet another year. The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION (PED) has
conquered Europe and beyond and Eurovision Radio International is the
best cure for it week by week as we reflect on the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 with broadcasting the many interviews done in Vienna. For
the results of the Semi Finals and the Grand Final please go to eurovision.tv or click here.  Interview with Il Volo (Italy 2015): As one of JP's colleagues called them Il Divo Light - Il Volo represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Grande Amore"
coming third in the contest. The colleagues in the Press Centre had
this tipped to be the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest with Sweden
second. Il Volo are huge in America and South America selling millions
of albums over there. Italy also was ready to win and host the next
Eurovision Song Contest but the trophy and the rights for next year went
to Sweden. The boys of Il Volo gave many interviews in the Press Centre
and Radio International is glad to broadcast their interview in this

 Interview with Elina Born and Stig Raesta (Estonia 2015): A great singer and a great songwriter was the recipe of Estonia's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 when Elina Born and Stig Raesta represented Estonia at this year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Goodbye to Yesterday".
Estonia came 7th in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. JP met the
singers in the Press Centre for an interview which will be broadcast on
this week's edition of Radio International. You can also watch this interview on our YouTube Channel - click here  Interview with Amber (Malta 2015) and Claudette Pace (Malta 2000): The Ambassadores of the sunny island of Malta at this year's Eurovision Song Contest was Amber who represented her country with the song "Warrior"
in Semi Final 2. Unfortunately, this year Malta's entry did not receive
enough points to secure a place in the Grand FInal of the 60th
Eurovision Song Contest and ranked at Number 11 in Semi Final 2 as only
the Top 10 advance into the Grand Final. But nevertheless, it was Amber's best performance of "Warrior"
in the show. More luck next time for the sunny country. During the
Eurovision weeks previous Eurovision performers pay a visit to the
"Scene of Eurovision Crime" and so Amber was surprised as the end of her
second Press Conference in Vienna when former Maltese representative Claudette Pace
greeted the singer and wished her luck. Claudette herself represented
Malta in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm's Globen Arena
with the song "Desire" reaching Number 8. She now is a Member of
the Maltese Parliament. Eric and JP had the pleasure of conducting an
interview with both artists after Amber's Press Conference in Vienna.

 Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2015 - The Assessment: The
60th Eurovision Song Contest is over but still in the ears and eyes
of
the fans and also the Radio International Eurovision Experts will
give
their assessment over the next few editions of the show. The new
series continues this week with Dermot Manning who actually also enjoyed
Eurovision on
location in Vienna.  Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.  Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
