Eurovision's Greatest Hits: On 31 March 2015, the BBC in
collaboration with Swedish TV SVT celebrated the 60th anniversary of the
Eurovision Song Contest and produced a Eurovision Celebration Show
staged in London's Eventi, Apollo, Hammersmith. The show is called "Eurovision's Greatest Hits"
and featured a large number of previous Eurovision Winning acts such as
Loreen, Emmelie de Forest, Lordi, etc. Details of the event can be seen
here. To coincide with this special event Radio International will air a large number of Eurovision Greatest Hits during the
show but also Radio International aired an
interview done in London with John Kennedy O'Connor who published a book "The Eurovision Song Contest: The Official Celebration" which is out now. In case you missed this interview just visit the Show Archive from 01 April 2015 and listen to the show for the interview.

Eurovision in Concert 2015 - Interviews - The Story continues: On Saturday, 18 April 2015 Eurovision in Concert 2015 took place in Amsterdam's Melkweg Concert Venue with the participation of 26 Eurovision act, being 24 countries who will compete at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria in May. Then Edsilia Rombley (Netherlands 1998 and 2007) as being the co-host of the concert together with Cornald Maas the Dutch TV Commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest and the charming winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 for Norway - The Bobbysocks. Before the concert in the evening there was a Press event where international and national media could meet the participating artists for interviews and photo sessions. Radio International was also represented and interviewed a large number of artists. Over the next two weeks you will hear the result on the show as the Eurovision 2015 story continues. The London Eurovision 2015 Preview Event took place in the Cafe
de Paris in London, the United Kingdom with many artists of the
Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and also previous performers. David Mann
went to this event and interview a large number of artists which you can
hear on this and next week's edition of Radio International. Watch out
for interviews with Nicki French (United Kingdom 2000), Kurt Calleja (Malta 2015), Amber (Malta 2015), Melanie Rene (Switzerland 2015), Christer Bjoerkman (Sweden 1992), Ray Caruana of Live Report (United Kingdom 1989), etc.Some interviews were already aired last week but there are still many left to broadcast this week. Live Interview with Amber (Malta 2015): The Malta
Eurovision Song Contest 2015 took place on 21 & 22 November 2014
from the Marsa Ship Yard in Malta with 20 songs entering into the Semi
Final then narrowed down to a Top 14 and then on Saturday the winner was
the public favourite as well as the jury favourite - Amber Bondin will be representing Malta in Smei Final 2 Song 5 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Warrior"
written by Elton Zarb and Matt Muxu, who also were responsible for the
victory of Gaia Cauchi at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with
the song "The Start". Radio International is extremely happy
to Amber on the show live during this week's edition of the show and
listeners and viewers were encourgaed to ask their questions to Amber via
livestream.
Interview with Uzari & Maimuna (Belarus 2015): After last year's success of TEO baking his "Cheesecake" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen coming 16th Belarus sends in Uzari and Maimuna as Ambassadors to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Time" which will compete in Semi Final 1 at Song 11. Radio
International had the pleasure to meet Uzari and Maimuna at Eurovision
in Concert 2015 in Amsterdam for a quick interview done by Eric. By the
way Uzari was backing vocalist of Anastasiya Vinnikova of the song "I love Belarus" performed at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Enjoy it on this weeks edition of the show.

Interview with Maria Elena Kyriakou (Greece 2015):
Following last year's upbeat Eurovision Ska sound from Freaky Fortune
feat. Risky Kidd called "Rise up" Greece had a national final in which Maria Elena Kyriakou was selected to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Semi Final 1 with the power ballade called "One last Breath"
competing as Song 6. Eric and JP met the singer and her composer at
Eurovision in Concert 2015 in Amsterdam for an interview you can hear on
this week's edition of the show.

Interview with Maraaya (Slovenia 2015): In 2014
Slovenia successfully qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision
Song Contest and ranked at Number 25 at the end of the voting. Tinkara Kovac performed "Spet / Round and Round". Let's see if the Maraya can better that result with the song "Here for you"
which will start in Semi Final 2 at Number 16. Slovenia has been taking
part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 1993 and the best ever result
achived was in 2001 with Nusa Derenda and the song "Energy".
Maraaya is a musical husband and wife and will perform their entry with
a set of headphones on. Radio International met the singers at
Eurovision in Concert 2015 for an interview you can hear on this week's

Interview with Eduard Romanyuta (Moldova 2015): Officially the Ukraine is not part of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 however, with the participation of Eduard Romanyuta
who is native Ukrainian the country is somehow part of this year's
contest. Eduard Romanyuta represents Moldova at the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 with the song "I want your love" which opens up
Eurovision 2015 in Semi Final 1 just like in 2010 when Moldova started
with the Sunstroke Project and Olia Tira. :) Last year's entry from
Moldova was Cristina Scarlat with the song "Wild Soul" which did
not bring the expected result, Moldova decided in a national final for
an upbeat song by Eduard. Eric and JP met up with the singer for an
interview which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio
International.

Interview with Daniel Kajmakoski (FYRO Macedonia 2015): With the hopes that the FYRO Macedonia will qualify for the Grand Final in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, Daniel Kajmakoski will represent his country at the contest with song "Autumn Leaves"
competing in Semi Final 1 at Song 8 hoping to better the result of 2014
when Tijana Dapcevic represented FYRO Macedonia with the song "To the sky"
failing to qualify for the Grand Final of Eurovision 2014. Daniel lives
in Vienna for many years and he followed the invitation of the
organisers of Eurovision in Concert 2015 and came to Amsterdam in April
to promote his song there. JP and David met the singer for a chat which

Interview with Nadav Guedj (Israel 2015): The King of Fun from Israel is Nadav Guedj who will be representing his country with the song "Golden Boy" in Semi Final 2 at Song 9 with this following in the footsteps of Mei Finegold and the song "Same Heart"
which unfortunately did not qualify for the Grand Final of Eurovision
2014. Hopefully Nadav has more luck with his song. Eric met the singer
at the Press Event at Eurovision in Concert 2015 for an interview you

Interview with Boggie (Hungary 2015): A great success was last year's entry from Hungary when Andras-Kallay Saunders reached a remarkable Number 5 with the song "Running". The Hungarian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is Boggie who will compete with the song "Wars for nothing"
in Semi Final 1 at Song 1. Let's see if Boggie can continue the success
of Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. She also was part
of the line-up at Eurovision in Concert 2015 in Amsterdam where the Team
of Radio International had the pleasure to meet and interview the

Interview with Melanie Rene (Switzerland 2015): Die große
Entscheidungsshow took place on Saturday, 31 January 2015 in the
Bodenseearena of Kreuzlingen in Switzerland. It is the show in which
Switzerland selected their representative to the Eurovision Song Contest
and for 2015. Melanie Rene won the Swiss National Final with the song "Time to Shine".
Switzerland will be competing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in
Semi Final 2 as song Number 14. Radio International was very happy
to chat Melanie to the airwaves and the cyberspace of the show and
conducted a live interview with the Swiss Amabassador to Eurovision 2015
via the phone.
David Mann caught up with Melanie as the recent edition of the London
Preview event of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. You can hear that on
the show this week as well.
Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

Eurovision Quiz: Scratch your heads and bite your
nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the
Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you
have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
your answers via the website's CONTACTs
form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck! The draw of the Winner of the last quizzes will be done in the show from May 27.
