Eurovision's Greatest Hits: On 31 March 2015, the BBC in
collaboration with Swedish TV SVT celebrated the 60th anniversary of the
Eurovision Song Contest and produced a Eurovision Celebration Show
staged in London's Eventi, Apollo, Hammersmith. The show is called "Eurovision's Greatest Hits"
and featured a large number of previous Eurovision Winning acts such as
Loreen, Emmelie de Forest, Lordi, etc. Details of the event can be seen
here. To coincide with this special event Radio International will air a large number of Eurovision Greatest Hits during the
show but also Radio International aired an
interview done in London with John Kennedy O'Connor who published a book "The Eurovision Song Contest: The Official Celebration" which is out now. In case you missed this interview just visit the Show Archive from 01 April 2015 and listen to the show for the interview.

Eurovision in Concert 2015 - Interviews: On Saturday, 18 April 2015 Eurovision in Concert 2015 took place in Amsterdam's Melkweg Concert Venue with the participation of 26 Eurovision act, being 24 countries who will compete at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna, Austria in May. Then Edsilia Rombley (Netherlands 1998 and 2007) as being the co-host of the concert together with Cornald Maas the Dutch TV Commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest and the charming winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 for Norway - The Bobbysocks. Before the concert in the evening there was a Press event where international and national media could meet the participating artists for interviews and photo sessions. Radio International was also represented and interviewed a large number of artists. Over the next three weeks you will hear the result on the show. Interview with Elnur Hueseynov (Azerbaijan 2015):
Elnur is no stranger to the world of the Eurovision Song Contest as he
and his singing partner Samir represented Azerbaijan as the first Azeri
entry ever at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Day after Day' which came 8th in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia. In 2015 Azerbaijan once again sends in Elnur Hueseynov on his own with a fantastic power ballade called "Hour of the Wolf"
following Dilara Kazimova with "Start a Fire" from 2014 that reached
Number 21 in Copenhagen. This year Azerbaijan will start in Semi Final 2
at song Number 11. Thank you to Konstantin for the help in translation

Interview with John Karagiannis (Cyprus 2015): Welcome back Cyprus! As they return to the Eurovision Song Contest with John Karagiannis representing Cyprus in 2015 with the song "One thing I should have done"
which will start in Semi Final 2 at Song Number 15. Cyprus took a break
of a year. Their last participation was in 2013 in Malmoe with Despina Olympiou with the song "An me Thimase"
reaching Number 15 in Semi Final 1. The first time Cyprus did take part
in the Eurovision Song Contest was way back in 1981 with the song "Monika" performed by Island reaching

Interview with Ann Sophie (Germany 2015): As one of
the big five countries Germany is directly qualified for the Grand
Final to be staged on 23 May 2015 in Vienna's Stadthalle. Germany's
Musical Ambassador is Ann Sophie who will represent Germany with the song "Black Smoke".
Germany took part of the Eurovision Song Contest since the very
beginning in 1956 with one year break in 1996. Two victories: Nicole's "Ein bisschen Frieden" in 1982 and Lena's "Satellite"
in 2010. Will Ann Sophie be able to achieve a third victory for
Germany?? Good luck! Radio International had the pleasure to meet the
singer in Amsterdam's Eurovision in Concert for a lovely chat you hear

Interview with Monika Kuszynska (Poland 2015): After last year's success of Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest with Donatan and Cleo's "My Slowianie" reaching Number 14 in Copenhagen, this year's representative of Poland is Monika Kuszynska who sings "In the Name of Love"
which will be closing out Semi Final 2 of the Eurovision Song Contest
2015. Poland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 with Edyta Gorniak and "To nie ja"
which straight rocketed to Number 2. Since then this result has never
been reached again. Perhaps this year could be the year. Monika will
perform in a wheel chair as she is paralyzed for a number of years.

Interview with Morland and Debrah Scarlett (Norway 2015): Norway won the Eurovision Song Contest three times with Bobbysocks in 1985 "La det swinge", in 1996 with Secret Garden and "Nocturne" and in 2009 with Alexander Rybak's "Fairytale". Carl Espen represented Norway in 2014 with "The Silent Storm" reaching Number 8 and following in the footsteps of Carl Espen is Morland and Debrah Scarlett who will be representing Norway with the song "A Monster like me"
in Semi Final 2 at Song Number 6. Find out more about this year's

Interview with Monika and Vaidas (Lithuania 2015): Lithuania's best ever result at the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2006 when LT United reached a remarkable Number 6 in the Grand Final with the song "We are the Winnes of Eurovision". Will "This Time" Lithuania be topping this result with Monika and Vaidas as they represent Lithuania with the song "This Time"
opening up Semi Final 2. Radio International meet the singers in
Amsterdam during Eurovision in Concert for an interview which you can
hear on this week's edition of the show.

Interview with Bojana Stamenov (Serbia 2015): Also Serbia too off for one year and returns to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with Bojana Stamenov who will be singing the song "Beauty never lies" in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 9. To date Serbia have one victory at the Eurovision Song Contest when in 2007 Marija Serifovic won the contest with "Molitva"
in Helsinki. At Eurovision in Concert 2015 Bojana received the biggest
applause from the audience after her performance. So could this be a
sign for another victory. Get to know Bojana in the interview Radio

Interview with Elhaida Dani (Albania 2015): 2015 sees the 12th participation of Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest and this honour goes to Elhaida Dani who will representing Albania with the song "I'm alive" in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 14. Albania's highest achievement at the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2012 when Rona Nishliu placed Albania at Number 5 in the Grand Final with the song "Suus"
in Baku. Radio International met Elhaida prior to Eurovision in Concert

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2015 in Regions: For
the next few weeks the Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the 2015 Eurovision entries per region and this week Marcus Keppel Palmer continues with the Eurovision countries that are competing at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2015. This week hear the songs from The West: Australia, Belgium, France, Ireland, Netherlands and United Kingdom. In addition, each week our correspondents
will be asked to tell us their personal favourite but also their tip
what could actually win the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
Venezuela's Top 50 Eurovision Songs of 2014: Every year the
Eurovision fans of Venezuela get together and vote for the Eurovision
songs of the current year and 2014 was no exception. The voters not
only took into consideration the songs that were in the Semi Finals and
Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 but also the National
Finals and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest of 2014. Rafael Vivas
sent in the Top 50 chart to Radio International for broadcast. Over the
next weeks Radio International will be broadcasting these songs and
running down the chart during the broadcast. What did Venezuela vote
for to be the best song of the 2014 Eurovision year? Find out on Radio

Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the

have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send

form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz
after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the
listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate
