 Interview with Ann Sophie (Germany 2015): "Unser
Song Song fuer Oesterreich" is Germany's national final to select the
song that will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest. The
show took place on Thursday, 05 March 2015 from the TUI Arena in
Hannover, Germany with eight participating artists/groups and three
public voting rounds. This German Final made history in the Eurovision
Song Contest National Finals as the winner of the night was Andreas
Kuemmert who declared after it was announced that he had received the
most number of votes and with this to be the winner, that he was not
accepting the ticket to Vienna and gives his winning title to Ann Sophie
who gladly accepted. After the NDR Pressconference JP interviewed
Germany's hopefull for Vienna which you can hear on this week's edition
of Radio International. The song Ann Sophie will be singing in Vienna is called "Black Smoke"
and is directly qualified for the the Grand Final together with Austria
as host, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France and Australia.
 Interview with Leonor Andrade (Portual 2015):
On Saturday, 07 March 2015 the Festival de Cancao 2015 took place in
the
studios of RTP in Lison, Portugal to select Portugal's entry to the
Eurovision Song Contest 2015. After two Semi Finals with each six songs
out of which three qualified for the Final of Festival de Cancao 2015
the winner and with this representing Portugal at the Eurovision Song
Contest 2015 is Rock Chick Leonor Andrade who will perform "Há um mar que nos separa"
in Vienna in Semi Final 2. JP and Eric from Radio International went to
Festival de Cancao to interview amongst the winner Leonor also some of
the contestants and the songwriter of the winning song Miguel Gameiro. Listen to all of this on this week's edition of Radio International.
 Interview with Simone de Oliveira (Portugal 1965 nand 1969):
One huge Portuguese artist that has been on the stage of the Eurovision
Song Contest not only once but twice and wanted to try it again at the
age of 78 - Simone de Oliveira. In 1965 she reached Number 13 with the song "Sol de inverno" and then she tried again four years later with the song "Desfolhada"
that only reached Number 15 for Portugal. Her 2015 offering for the Festival de Cancao 2015 is called "À espera das canções"
and unfortunately, did not get into the Super Final of the national
Portuguese contest. Eric and JP interviewed the great singer and actor
which also you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International.
 Interview with Yola Diniz (Festival de Cancao 2015) and Suzy (Portugal 2015):
One of the contestants in the Festival de Cancao 2015 really drew
attention towards her due to her amazing Fado voice and charme on stage.
Yola Diniz successfully could qualify herself for the Grand
Final of the Festival de Cancao but then could not get into the Super
Final with her song "Outra Vez Primeira". Beautifully performed
during the show the Team of Radio International had the pleasure to
interview the singer in the Green Room after her performance including
the composer of her song. Then last year's Eurovision Hopeful from
Portugal Suzy "Quero ser tua" joined the interview and be aware - there
is a surprise coming on during the interview that is not to be missed.
 Interview with Goncalo Tavares (Festival de Cancao 2015): At Festival de Cancao 2015 he performed last on the night on Saturday, 07 March 2015 with an upbeat song "Tu tens uma mágica" that Goncalo Tavares
could successfully qualify from the Semi Final into the Grand Final and
then also made it into the Super Final which was won by Leonor Andrade.
After the show the Team of Radio International met the singer in the
Green Room for a little chat you can hear on Radio International this
week.

Song Contest Spotlight - The National Final Season 2015: The National
Final Season to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is well under way.
During the last weeks Radio International went through the history of
Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest. Austria will host the Eurovision
Song Contest 2015 in the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna next May with the
Grand Final on the 23 May 2015. Like in previous years the Radio
International Eurovision Experts will be assessing the National Finals
2015 live on Radio International. Alasdair Rendall continues the series taking a look at the National Finals and entries Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and United Kingdom.
 Eurovision UnderCover: This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.  Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins
the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest
such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision
performers, special

such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.

 New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
