Interview with Ray Caruana of Live Report (United Kingdom 1989):
October is the usual month when OGAE UK hold their annual convention
entitled EUROBASH and 2014 was no exception. The event took place in the
Holiday Inn in the City Centre of Birmingham with the participation of Martyn Ford
who conducted the entries of Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 1982
and 1986, then a lady that represented Denmark together with her then
singing partner Soeren as Hot Eyes three
times at the Eurovision Song Contest. She was pregnant on stage on two
of the three occasions firstly in 1984 when Hot Eyes came fourth with
the song "Det' lige det (That's just it)". The year after, 1985, they came 11th with the song "Sku' du spoerg fra no'en (What business is it of yours?)" and then in 198, performed highly pregnant the song "Ka' du se hva' jeg sa' (Can you see what I said?)"
which came third. And last but not least Ray Caruana from Live Report reaching a remarkable runner up position in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 with the song "Why do I always get it wrong". The Team of Radio International had the big pleasure
to meet the singer for an interview you can hear on this week's edition
of the show.
Interview with Friderika Bayer (Hungary 1994): At a recent OGAE Germany convention in Munich Friderika Bayer was
invited amongst the special guests of the evening. Frederika
represented Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 with the song "Kinek Mondjrm El Vetkeimet"
which came 4th in the contest and has been so far HUngary's best result
at the Eurovision Song Contest. Almost this year it was topped with Andras Kallay-Saunders who came 5th with "Running" Copenhagen. Enjoy this charming interview with Friderika on this week's edition of Radio International
As the Team of
Radio International is in Malta for the next weeks due to the Junior
Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015
this is a rather special edition of the show which also means that the
format will change a bit as the Clip Quiz, the Eurovision News,
Eurovision Spot Light and Eurovision Covers will be paused until 26
November 2014. Don't miss the special shows coming up next week and the
week after.
