International never stops and is keen on
keeping the music of the Eurovision Song Contest in the ears of the many
fans that join the show each and every week via the usual means either
via PODCAST, Itunes, LISTEN AGAIN, live broadcast or Live Stream. Please feel

 Holidaying Radio International:
For the two three weeks the Team of Radio International will be on
holidays and JP will broadcast four special shows to you starting this
week with many items, special features and interviews which were not yet
broadcast on Radio International. Also enjoy the flashback to the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with some interviews and with this to cure
the Post Eurovision Depression. The normal format of Radio International is back on 08 October 2014.
 Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Interview with Chiara (Malta 1998, 2005 & 2009): Malta's singing Pearl Chiara has
been signed by Icelandic record lable Hands Up Music which is the same
label that works with Hera Bjoerk (Iceland 2010) and were also behind
last year's and this year's Icelandic entries to the Eurovision Song
Contest. With this Chiara has changed somehow also the music style a
little bit from the classic power ballades to club sounds. We of course
remember her from her successes at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998
where she came third with "The one that I love" and then in 2005 when she came second with "Angel" and in 2009 she tried it for a third time with "What if we" which reached Number 22. She had releases with "Forget forgetting me" and a duet with Hera Bjoerk "9 to 5" and also "Zarbun". Last May, Chiara came to Copenhagen during the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and launched her new single "Mermaid in love"
during a concert in the Euro Fan Cafe. But before the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 the Team of Radio International was in Malta for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and met up with the lovely Chiara and had a nice chat during lunch at the Valetta Waterfront in Malta and her opinion on the national selection - enjoy this interview on this week's edition of Radio International.  Interview with Nicki French (United Kingdom 2000): Being a Eurovision Fan herself Nicki French represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 with the song "Don't play that song again" which came 16th in Stockholm. Nicki is very much in love with Eurovision and the many fans and would kill to sing again at the Eurovision Song Contest. She is invited by Eurovision Fanclubs and last appeared on the OGAE Finland organized Eurovision Cruise earlier on this month. Nicki is also a host of many events and hosted the Eurovision London Preview Event 2014 where she was interviewed by Radio International's David Mann.  Interview with Julia Zamiro (Commentator of SBS Australia) and Jessica Mauboy (Interval Act Eurovision 2014): Every Eurovision fan knows how badly Australia would love to be part in the Eurovision Song Contest which has a huge following Down Under. Unfortunately, due to the location of Australia they can never be competing at the Eurovision Song Contest. So the closest what is and was possible is to let an Australian Singer perform for another country which happened back in 1996 with Gina G when se represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Oh Ah ...Just a little bit" which came 8th. Alternatively, and that happened this year was when Australia's Jessica Mauboy performed in the Interval Act in the Semi Final the song "Sea of Flags". For many years Australia broadcasts the Eurovision Song Contest to the many viewers Down Under and it is all commentated by the charming Julia Zamiro. David Mann interviewed both ladies in the Press Lounge of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 which you can hear on this week's edition of the show.  Interview with Gordon Roxbourgh - Author of the book "A Song For Europe - The UK at the Eurovision Song Contest": The Eurovision Song Contest is a huge media event where many journalists, song writers, composers, TV & Radio Show Hosts, etc meet but also authors of various books. JP from Radio International met Gordon Roxbourgh who is the author of the book in fact Volume 1 and 2 where as Volume 1 is looking at the 1950s and 1960s and Volume 2 for the 1980s.  Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
