 Interview with Ruth Lorenzo (Spain 2014): nterview with Ruth Lorenzo (Spain 2014): The Kingdom of Spain
was this represented at the Eurovision Song Contest by one of the most
diverse and amazing singers Spain ever sent in - Ruth Lorenzo.
Ruth lives between Madrid and London and has taken part in the UK
X-Factor. At the Eurovision Song Contest Spain, as well as France,
Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom is one of the Big Five countries
and with that automatically qualified for the Grand Final of the
competition and received 74 points with the song "Dancing in the Rain"
ranking at Number 9 in the Grand Final which is the highest position
among the Big Five countries.David Mann and Debbie O'Hare met the
Spanish singer during an event in London prior to the Eurovision Song
Contest. Listen to the interview during this week's edition of Radio
International.
 Interview with Maribelle (Netherlands 1984): Another
Kingdom that was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest but that
back in 1984 were the Netherlands who sent in charming Maribelle who
sang for the Netherlands the song "Ik hou van jou" which came 13th in
the Eurovision Song Contest of 1984 which took place in Luxmebourg won
by Sweden's Herreys. The Team of Radio International had the big
pleasure to meet the singer in April of 2014 as part of Eurovision in
Concert 2014 warm up session celebrating 30 years since her
participation in the contest. Listen to the interview on this week's

 Interview with Georgina (Malta 1991): Back in 1991 Malta was represented by Georgina and then husband Paul Giordomaina with the song "Could it be" which came 6th in Rome. The Eurovision Song Contest 1991 was won by Sweden's Carola with "Captured by a love storm". Georgina has been involved in writing many songs for Maltese artists and one of the most famous on is "Another Summer Night"
which later in 2001 was performed by Fabrizio Faniello at the
Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen reaching a remarkable Number 9.
Since then Georgina also has attempted to win the ticket to represent
Malta again at the Eurovision Song Contest which to date she did not
manage. She remarried to Paul Abela and is still heavily involved in the
Malta Music Scene. At the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 JP and
David met the singer after the Semi Final of the event and took the
chance for an interview with Georgina which you can hear on this week's
edition of Radio Internaltional.

 Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision Songwriters - This week: Juan Carlos Calderon The
Eurovision
Song Contest 2014 is over and after Eurovision is before
Eurovision. Many countries will have Eurovision events throughout the
summer into the autumn to bridge the Post Eurovision Depression. Also
Radio International does not stand still and delivers in the weekly
three hour show lots of items to make you forget the PED. In the current
series the Eurovision Experts of Radio International take a look at the
songwriters in Eurovision Song Contest. Continuing this week
is Dermot Manning with taking a look at the works of Juan Carlos Calderon and the nice songs they have added to the ears of the many Eurovision fans.
 Malta Summer Hit Song Contest 2014: On 06 August 2014
edition of Radio International Deo Grech from Malta One Radio talked
about the Malta Summer Hit Song Contest 2014 which is now in the
preparation stages where the 18 competing songs are being introduced on
Malta's F-Living TV channel. Courtesy of Marc Calleja-Bayliss from
escflashmalta.com Radio International will introduce the songs on the
radio every week. The Grand Final of the contest will be in September
and by that time all songs will have been aired on Radio International.
 Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. David Mann's been digging deep in his treasure box for this week's Eurovision Cover song. Don't miss it!
 New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show. This week the new single by Emmelie de Forest, Mandinga feat Connect-R., Arash feat T-Pain
 Eurovision Song Contest News: escXtra.com's Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Songesc-n Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
