 Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Radio International on location in Copenhagen - a recap: The
Team of Radio International while at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014
produced lots of material in terms of interviews with the Eurovision

 Interview with Ira Losco (Malta 2002): The
2014 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest took place in
February of this year with Firelight winning the ticket to represent
Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen last May. The Maltese
national final show was hosted by two previous Maltese representatives
to the Eurovision Song Contest - Gianaluca Bezzina and Ira Losco.
Gianluca reached a remarkable 8th place in Malmoe in 2013 with the song "Tomorrow". Ira Losco represented represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "7th Wonder"
which came second in the contest. Then it became rather quiet around
Ira until in recent years when she released new material in Malta and
also was asked to present the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014
together with Gianluca. The day after the venue Malta Fairs and
Convention Centre (MFCC) in T'Qali was used for the Malta Music Awards
where Ira Losco received three awards. The Team of Radio International
had the pleasure to meet the singer after the show and interviewed her

 Interview with John Allison of The Allisons (United Kingdom 1961): In
the earlier yearsof the Eurovision Song Contest the United Kingdom had
very good results very often reaching the runner up position. In fact,
15 times the United Kingdom came second. So did the Allisons (Bob Day and John Alford) who reached the Number 2 position in 1961 with the song "Are you sure". More details about the Allisons can be found here.
The London Eurovision Preview Event took place in April 2014 and
amongst the many artists from 2014 who competed at the Eurovision Song
Contest - John of the Allisons was invited as well. David Mann had the
pleasure to meet and chat with John about the Eurovision 1961 and their
participation in the contest.
 Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision Songwriters - This week: The
Radio International Spotlight through the summer of 2014 features the
songwriters at the Eurovision Song Contest and in this series the
Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the songwriters that brought us many great Eurorivison
entries. Continuing this week is Ross Bennett taking a lock at the works of Sweden's Thomas G:sson and
the nice songs he has added to the ears of the many Eurovision fans.
 Malta Summer Hit Song Contest 2014: On 06 August 2014
edition of Radio International Deo Grech from Malta One Radio talked
about the Malta Summer Hit Song Contest 2014 which is now in the
preparation stages where the 18 competing songs are being introduced on
Malta's F-Living TV channel. Courtesy of Marc Calleja-Bayliss from
escflashmalta.com Radio International will introduce the songs on the
radio every week. The Grand Final of the contest will be in September
and by that time all songs will have been aired on Radio International.
 Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. David Mann's been digging deep in his treasure box for this week's Eurovision Cover song. Don't miss it!
 New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show. This week the new single by Sertab Erener, Getter Jaani & Koit Toome, Eldar & Zlata and Roberto Bellarosa.
 Eurovision Song Contest News: escXtra.com's Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Songesc-n Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
