Interview with Suzy (Portugal 2014): Hooray Hooray
Hooray from many fans of Portugal who returned to the Eurovision Song
Contest in 2014 after a little break. The Winner of the 50th edition of
Festival da Cancao - Suzy won the national final with the song "Quero ser tua"
and also the ticket to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song
Contest 2014 in Copenhagen. She's been on Radio International before as
she heavily promoted the song at various Eurovision promotion events
such as Eurovision in Concert and the London Preview Event last April.
Unfortunately, all the promotion did not help much as Suzy missed out
the Grand Final by just one single point to qualify for the Grand Final
and ranked at Number 11 in Semi Final 1. JP, Eric and Rene chatted with
the charming singer how her experience on Copenhagen's Eurovision stage
is as well as about the selection procedure in Portugal, plus lots more.

Interview with Carl Espen (Norway 2014): Norway was represented by a silent storm called Carl Espen who's entry in fact was called "The Silent Storm"
written for him by his cousin. Carl won the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix
with the amazing power ballade and qualified Norway for the Grand Final
of the 59th Eurovision Song Contest. At the end of the voting Norway
ranked at Number 8. JP interviewed the singer and songwriter after their
press conference in the Press Centre of the Eurovision Song Contest
2014. Hear it on this week's edition of the show.

Interview with Rui Andrade (Portugal - Russia 2014): The magic number for Rui Andrade
seems to be the Number 3 as three times in a row he took part at
Festival da Cancao but also in all three times he ranked third with his
entries to the Portuguese National Final. His first attempt was in 2011
with "Em Nome do Amor", then in 2012 with "Amor a preto e branco" and in 2014 he tried it again with "Ao teu encontro". But the ticket to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 went to Suzy as she became the winner with "Quero ser tua".
Rui was spotted by Philip Kirkorov from Russia who is also known as the
Kind of Russian Pop and himself a Eurovision veteran as a singer but
also as the driving force behind many Russian, Ukrainian and Belarussian
entries to the Eurovision Song Contest. Philip was involved again in
2014 and took Rui on board as a Backing Vocalist for the Tolmachevy
Sisters in the song "Shine" that came 7th in Copenhagen. JP, Eric and
David met the singer and actor in the Press Centre in Copenhagen for an
interview you can enjoy on this week's edition of Radio International.
