Interview with Valentina Monetta (San Marino 2012, 2013 and 2014). San
Marino first participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 but since
then never managed to qualify for the Grand Final of the Eurovision
Song Contest until this year when Valentina Monetta in her third consecutive attempt passed from the Semi Final with the song "Maybe"
written by Mauro Ballestri and composed by Ralph Siegel. In the Grand
Final it reached Number 24. The same team already tried it in 2012 with
the "Socia Network Song" and also in 2013 with "Crisalide" which both
failed to qualify for the Grand Final. JP met Valentina in her hotel in
Copenhagen for and up-to-date interview which you can hear on this
week's edition of Radio International.

Interview with Ralph Siegel (Music Producer and Composer)(San Marino 2014).
Ralph Siegel is no stranger to the world of the Eurovision Song Contest
and in particular to the German speaking music market as he has written
and registered over 2000 songs that we grew up with over the many
years. In 2012, Ralph Siegel celebrated 40 years in the music
business and in 2014 another anniversary which is 40 years with his
involvement in to the Eurovision Song Contest. Details of Ralph Siegel
can be found at this link. In 1982 he was the genius behind Germany's
very first victory at the Eurovision Song Contest when Nicole won with "Ein bisschen Frieden". The Euro Fan Cafe in Copenhagen held a special anniversary celebration and chat show where Ralph Siegel was surprised as Nicole all
of a sudden appeared and performed her winning song. Ralph fully
believes in the singing abilities and voice of Valentina Monetta and
supported her for three years in succession and finally in 2014 his
composition "Maybe" advanced into the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014. JP had the pleasure to interview Ralph
Siegel in the Press Centre of Copenhagen. Hear it on this week's edition
of Radio International.

the German national final and went to the Eurovision Song Contest 2014
where they reached Number 18 in the Grand Final. Germany is part of the
Big 5 countries together with France, Italy, Spain and the United
Kingdom and with this automatically qualified for the Grand Final. The

Let's have some Eurovision Ska as one of the most modern pop tunes
competing in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is the entry from Greece
by Freaky Fortune and Risky Kidd. This three man group won the Greek National Final on MAD TV in Athens with the song "Rise up"
which is also the tune with which the guys represented Greece at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014 successfully qualifying for the Grand Final
and at the end ranking Greece at Number 20. Special to mention is that
the guys brought with them a tramplin on stage and during the
performance rocked the house. The Team of Radio International on
location in the Press Centre of Copenhagen had the pleasure to do
follow-on interview with the guys after they were already initially
interviewed at Amsterdam's Eurovision in Concert earlier on in April.
