 Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Radio International on location in Copenhagen: The
Team is back home from Copenhagen, Denmark which was the host city of
the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. In its bag - lots of material in terms
of interviews with the Eurovision 2014 performers plus some specials
which you will hear on Eurovision Radio International during the next
weeks curing your Post Eurovision Depression as much as possible. A
special thanks go to the team members on location working hard to get

 Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Quiz: In addition to the weekly
clip quiz on the show - Radio International will be giving away the
official CD to the lucky winner of the quiz. It will be a quiz with ten
questions. Five will be asked on this week's edition of Radio
International the next five are on the show next week. From all right
entries a draw will decide the winner of the Official Eurovison 2014 CD.

the show and next week please email in all ten right answers to CONTACT on the Radio International website by clicking here. Good luck! :) Interview with Chiara (Malta 1998, 2005 & 2009) on the launch of her new single: Malta's singing Pearl Chiara has
been signed by Icelandic record lable Hands Up Music which is the same
label that works with Hera Bjoerk (Iceland 2010) and were also behind
last year's and this year's Icelandic entries to the Eurovision Song
Contest. With this Chiara has changed somehow also the music style a
little bit from the classic power ballades to club sounds. We of course
remember her from her successes at the Eurovision Song Contest 1998
where she came third with "The one that I love" and then in 2005 when she came second with "Angel" and in 2009 she tried it for a third time with "What if we" which reached Number 22. She had releases with "Forget forgetting me" and a duet with Hera Bjoerk "9 to 5" and also "Zarbun". Chiara came to Copenhagen during the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and launched her new single "Mermaid in love"
during a concert in the Euro Fan Cafe. JP met up with the singer and

 Interview with the Common Linnets (The Netherlands 2014):
Following the success of Anouk who represented the Netherlands at the
Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 and reaching Number 9 in the Grand Final
with the song "Birds, the Netherlands once again send in a strong
calibre to the contest namely The Common Linnets who are Ilse de Lange and Waylon representing the kindgom with the song entitled "Calm after the storm"
in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 14. The Common Linnets sucessfully
qualified for the Grand Final, in fact, they were the winners of their
Semi Final and then almost won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in
Copenhagen, if it were not for Austria's beared lady Conchita Wurst
taking the trophy. On the evening of Semi Final 2 Radio International as
well as other international medias were invited to a recording studio
not far from the Eurovision Venue and were given a mini concert which
was followed by an interview session. JP had the pleasure to meet the Common Linnets for an interview which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International

 Conchita Wurst (Austria 2014) on the Graham Norton Show in the UK: After
the Eurovision Song Contest all the huge state medias invite the
winning act and there is no exception to this year's winner from Austria
- Conchita Wurst who as beared lady won the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with "Rise like a Phoenix".
Last week she appeared on the BBC's Graham Norton Show and Radio
International picked up on this and would like to broadcast that little
interview on Radio International this week. The interview is freely
available on YouTube.
 Short Birthday Interview with Glen Vella (Malta 2011): During
last week's edition of Radio International JP tried to surprise call
Glen Vella and congratulate him on his birthday. Unfortunately, this
surprise call did only happen towards the end of the show and could not
be broadcast on the show anymore. However, the surprise Birthday Call
and interview with Glen was recorded and Radio International is glad to
share it with you during this week's edition of the show. Glen Vella represented sunny Malta at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "One Life" ranking 11th in his Semi Final.
 Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2014 - The Assessment: The
Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is over and after Eurovision is before
Eurovision. Many countries will have Eurovision events throughout the
summer into the autumn to bridge the Post Eurovision Depression. BUt
also Radio International does not stand still and delivers in the weekly
three hour show lots of items to make you forget the PED. In the new
series the Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest continuing this week
with Ross Bennett assessing the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
 Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. David Mann's been digging deep in his treasure box for this week's Eurovision Cover song. Don't miss it!
 New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
 Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell took over the newscasting from Luke and joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
