Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Radio International on location in Copenhagen: The
Team is back home from Copenhagen, Denmark which was the host city of
the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. In its bag - lots of material in terms
of interviews with the Eurovision 2014 performers plus some specials
which you will hear on Eurovision Radio International during the next
weeks curing your Post Eurovision Depression as much as possible. A
special thanks go to the team members on location working hard to get

Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Quiz: In addition to the weekly
clip quiz on the show - Radio International will be giving away the
official CD to the lucky winner of the quiz. It will be a quiz with ten
questions. Five will be asked on this week's edition of Radio
International the next five are on the show next week. From all right
entries a draw will decide the winner of the Official Eurovison 2014 CD.
So make sure that you don't miss this week's and next week's edition of
the show :)
- In fact JP changed the quiz during the show and all you have to do is to watch again the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Grand Final and spot the four occasions where a German duster (instead of a German Flag) makes an appearance. Interview with the Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Conchita Wurst (Austria 2014): Prior
the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, Radio International already aired a
couple of interviews with the beared lady from Austria done by Debbie
& David in Amsterdam and London at the Eurovision preview events. JP
had the pleasure and chance to conduct an interview with Conchita Wurst
in Copenhagen after her Press Conference with the international media.
One of the most controversial entries in the Eurovision Song Contest
2014 is the entry from Austria's Conchita Wurst singing the Shirley Basseyish James Bond sounding theme "Rise like a Phoenix"
which received a total of 290 points from during the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014. In 2012, Conchita already tried her luck
in the national Final of Austria to get the ticket to represent Austria
in Baku. But she came only second and the ticket went to the
Trackshittaz instead. David Mann also had a few words with Conchita
after the Semi Final 2 Winners'Press Conference. Hear it all on this

Interview with Ovi and Paula Seling (Romania 2014 and 2010): In 2010 Romania was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest by Ovi and Paula Seling with the fantastic entry that took them to Number 3 in the Grand Final. It was with "Playing with Fire". Both hosted the National Final in 2011 which was won by Hotel FM with the song "Change".
Both continued with their own projects but in 2014 they got back
together again to give it another attempt at the Eurovision Song
Contest. This year is was with "It's a miracle" which reached
Number 12 after successfully qualifying Romania into the Grand Final out
of Semi Final 2. The Team of Radio International on location had the
pleasure to meet and interview Paula & Ovi in their hotel in

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2014 - The Assessment: The
Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is over and after Eurovision is before
Eurovision. Many countries will have Eurovision events throughout the
summer into the autumn to bridge the Post Eurovision Depression. BUt
also Radio International does not stand still and delivers in the weekly
three hour show lots of items to make you forget the PED. In the new
series the Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest starting this week
with Marcus Keppel-Palmer assessing the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight XL - The Semi Final entries that should have qualified for the Grand Final: Returning to the airwaves this week and that in a longer version than the usual slot is Marcus Keppel-Palmer who
will
be joining JP for the third hour of this week's edition of
the show to take a look at some of the great Eurovision entries that
actually should have qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song
Contest. Due to the success of this feature and listeners request Matthias Breitinger from Germany selected 20 songs she thinks should have qualified for the Grand Final. Marcus and JP chat
about those entries and of course also play ten of them. Radio
International has received some submissions from listeners and
they will be featured in the weeks to come on the show, however, if
you would like to submit your choice of Semi Final entries that should
have made the Grand Final please send your Top Twenty list of songs to CONTACT and let us know why you select each song.
Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. David Mann's been digging deep in his treasure box for this week's Eurovision Cover song. Don't miss it!
New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell took over the newscasting from Luke and joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest. Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics such as viewing figures in the various countries and more. Nathan is website editor with escxtra.com. nails at our weekly Eurovision Song Contest Quiz. Good luck and win a
copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD. All you have to do
is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send
