Eurovision in Concert 2014 - the complete recap: Eurovision
in Concert 2014 took place on 05 April 2014 with the participation
of 25 countries that will be competing at the Eurovision Song Contest
2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark next month. The Teams of Radio International
and W12P teamed up and worked together to interview as many artists as
possible which you can hear over the next weeks on Radio International
and W12P. At this point Radio International would like to thank all the
organisers of this year's edition of Eurovision in Concert for a great
event set up and we are looking forward to the 7th edition in 2015. :)
Interview with Ruth Lorenzo (Spain 2014): As Spain is part of
the BIG 5 and with this automatically qualified for the Grand Final of
the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, Spain's contestant Ruth Lorenzo does not need to go through the Semi Final and will perform the amazing "Dancing in the Rain"
on Saturday 10 May 2014. Ruth also attended the famous Eurovision in
Concert 2014 on Saturday, 05 April 2014 where Eric and JP met the singer
for an interview which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio

Interview with Valentina Monetta (San Marino 2012, 2013 and 2014): Representing her native country San Marino for a third time in a row is Valentina Monetta
with the hope to qualify her country for the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Again Ralph Siegel is behind the creation
and production of the song called "Maybe" which will compete in
Semi Final 1 on Tuesday, 06 May 2014 at Number 12. Valentina already
represented San Marino in 2012 and 2013 with "The Social Network Song"
and "Crisalide" respectively failing to qualify for the Grand Final on
both occasions. Eric and JP from Radio International met the singer at
Eurovision in Concert 2014 for a quick chat. Listen to the interview on

Interview with the Common Linnets (The Netherlands 2014):
Following the success of Anouk who represented the Netherlands at the
Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 and reaching Number 9 in the Grand Final
with the song "Birds, the Netherlands once again send in a strong
calibre to the contest namely The Common Linnets who are Ilse de Lange and Waylon representing the kindgom with the song entitled "Calm after the storm"
in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 14. Debbie from W12P and David Mann met
the couple during the Press Event of Eurovision in Concert 2014 for a
quick interview which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio
International.
Live Interview with Rick Jacobs - Organiser of the Euro-Fan-Cafe:
The Euro-Fan-Cafe is the hang-out for fans, journalists and artists
during the days of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, the Home of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Radio
International once again has invited Rick Jacobs from the organising team for an
interview what exactly the Euro-Fan-Cafe is and what functions are being
planned to entertain the Eurovision Community that will be spending two

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight XL - The Semi Final entries that should have qualified for the Grand Final: Returning to the airwaves this week and that in a longer version than the usual slot is Marcus Keppel-Palmer who
will
be joining JP for the third hour of this week's edition of
the show to take a look at some of the great Eurovision entries that
actually should have qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song
Contest. Due to the success of this feature and listeners request Carol Ritson from the United Kingdom selected 20 songs she thinks should have qualified for the Grand Final. Marcus and JP chat
about those entries and of course also play ten of them. Radio
International has received some submissions from listeners and
they will be featured in the weeks to come on the show, however, if
you would like to submit your choice of Semi Final entries that should
have made the Grand Final please send your Top Twenty list of songs to CONTACT and let us know why you select each song.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Eurovision 2014 in Regions: For
the next three weeks the Eurovision Experts of Radio International will be
taking a look at the 2014 Eurovision entries per region and this week Dermot Manning continues with the eastern countries that are competing at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014. In addition, each week our correspondents
will be asked to tell us their personal favourite but also their tip
what could actually win the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
Kuunkuiskaajat (Finland 2010) release a new album: The two ladies of Kuunkuiskaajat, Susan and Johanna, who represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Työlki Ellää"
are working on a new album. See below for details and Radio
International is happy to have the ladies on the show in the not too
distant future to chat about the album. Susan and Johanna would like to
reach their fans abroad with this message on their new album with crowd
sourcing - they're collecting donations from fans and supporters.
Kuunkuiskaajat have composed loads of new wonderful songs, and are now
looking for fans and supporters to make an album happen. They did not
want to make a new album based on the record company's rules and
therefore decided to take matters in their own hands and fund it by

Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
