Interview with Sandra Reemer (Netherlands 1972, 1976, 1979 and 1983):
Most of the show this week will be devoted to Sandra Reemer who
represented the Netherlands three times at the Eurovision Song Contest.
In 1972 with "Als het om de liefte gaat" with Andres coming fourth. Then in 1976 Sandra represented the Kingdom of the Netherlands with "The Party is over now" coming nineth and in 1979 she reached Number 12 with "Colorado" as Xandra. In 1983, Sandra Reemer was the backing vocalist when Bernadette represented the Netherlands with the song "Sing me a song"
that reached Number 7 in Munich, Germany. Sandra was also a member of
the Dutch Divas which as a trio enjoyed successes together with Maggie
McNeal (1980) and Marga Bult (Marcha, 1987). She also hosted the Dutch
version of "Do you want to bet" on Dutch TV. Recently, she
rediscovered the nice athmosphere of the Eurovision community as she was
part of the OGAE Germany convention where the Team of Radio
International had the pleasure to meet and interview the singer who had a
lot of stories to tell. Listen to them all on this week's edition of
Radio International. But also Sandra will be hosting this year's and
with that the sixth edition of Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam
together with Cornald Maas.
