Interview with Nicki French (United Kingdom 2000):
During 2013 and early 2014 the Team of Radio International has been to
many Eurovision events besides the Eurovision Song Contest itself and
one is bound to bump into previous Eurovision performers. So did David
Mann when he met Nicki French at a UK function and had a little
interview with her you can hear on the show this week.
Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Interview with Miriam Christine (Malta 1996): The
Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 took place on Friday and Saturday,
07 and 07 February 2014 from the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in
Ta'Qali with Firelight winning the ticket to represent Malta at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
Full result of the voting is available here.
This week Radio International offers you the next set of interviews
with the contestants of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Miriam Christine represented Malta back in 1996 at the Eurovision Song Contest with "In a woman's heart"
which ranked 10th in Oslo. During the past years Miriam Christine has
tried again for a few times to regain the ticket to the Eurovision Song
Contest but unfortunately in vain. She did win the Malta Hit Song
Contest 2008 with the song "Alone today". Amongst many projects
as songwriter, singer and Children's Choir founder on Malta's sister
island Gozo she decided to try again her luck at the Malta Eurovision
Song Contest 2014 with the song "Safe" penned by Emil Calleja Bayliss and Mark Scicluna.
Unfortunately, the song could not qualify for the Grand Final of the
Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and remained in the Semi Final.
During the rehearsals Radio International had the pleasure to meet the
singer and the songwriters for an interview which you can hear on this
week's edition of the show.

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Interview with Davinia Pace & Muxu: In the 2013 edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest Davinia Pace had a remarkable entry called "Betrayed"
ranking at Number 3 at the end of the Final with a song which could be a
theme tune to a James Bond Movie. Elton Zarb and Muxu are the composers
of the song as well as this year's entry of Davinia which is called
"Brand New Day" and ranked at Number 13. Elton and Muxu were also the
song writers of the winning song for Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song
Contest 2013 which was won by 11 year old Gaia Cauchi when she won in
Kiev with "The Start" last December. JP and David chat with
Davinia and Muxu about their entry and the winning song for Junior
Eurovision 2013 and all that in the Green Room backstage.
