Interview with Herciana Matmuja (Albania 2014): During
the Festive Season 2013-2014 Eurovision has not stood still and two
national finals were broadcast being the one of Ukraine and the one of
Albania in Festival i Kenge. Salman Tanzeem has been on location during
the festival in Albania and witnessed the two Semi Finals and the Final.
The Winner of the Festival i Kenges 2014 is Herciana Matmuja who
not only won the contest in Albania but with this also the ticket to
Copenhagen to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with
the song "Zemërimi i një nate (One nights anger)". After the
show Salman had the chance and the pleasure to interview Herciana and
Radio International is pleased to air this interview during this week's
edition of the show. Thank you Salman! :)
Interview with Natalia Kelly (Austria 2013): Malmoe in
Sweden was the host city of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 after the
victory of Loreen taking the Eurovision Song Contest from Baku to
Sweden. 39 countries competet for the trophy of the contest and the
right to host the show the following year. Austria was represented by Natalia Kelly
who reached Number 14 in Semi Final 1 and with this failed to qualify
for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. The song is
called "Shine".However, Natalia left an impression to the members
of Eurovision Club Germany who at the end of November 2013 invited her
to attend their annual convention for a concert. JP from Radio
International was in Cologne for this event and had the pleasure to
interview Natalia to find out more about her music career. Listen to

Interview with Katya Ryabova (Junior Eurovision Russia 2009 & 2011):
Once more Radio International takes you into the world of the Junior
Eurovision Song Contest 2013 which was held on 30 November 2013 in Kiev,
Ukraine with Malta winning it. Like at the adult Eurovision Song
Contest previous performers return to support their country's entry.
This was also the case for Katya or Ekaterina Ryabova who represented Russia twice at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In 2009 it was with "Malenkiy prints" (The little Prince) which came the runner up, second and then in 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia she reached Number 4 with the song "Kak Romeo i Dzhulyetta"
(Like Romeo & Juliette). JP had the big pleasure to meet her again
for a little interview which was helped with by Michael Komadowski doing

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The National Final Season 2014: With
a start of a
new quarter that means it is also the start of a new feature on
Eurovision Radio International. In the last quarter of 2013 Radio
International went through the history of Denmark at the Eurovision Song
Contest. And over the Christmas Break the national final season has
officially begun. Like in previous years the Radio International
Eurovision Experts will be assessing the National Finals 2014 live on
Radio International. Ross Bennett starts off with the new season taking a look at the National Finals of Albania and the Ukraine.
Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in
their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link. David Mann's been digging deep in his treasure box for this week's Eurovision Cover song. Don't miss it!
New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Luke
Fisher
joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Luke will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
