Into the Pre-Christmas Season with Radio International: Eurovision Radio
International never stops and is keen on
keeping the music of the Eurovision Song Contest in the ears of the many
fans that join the show each and every week via the usual means either
via PODCAST, LISTEN AGAIN, live broadcast or Live Stream. Please feel

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013: Habemus Winner.
The 11th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was staged at
Palace of Ukraine in Kiev, Ukraine on 30 November 2013 with a very first
victory for the sunny islands of Malta with Gaia Gauchi winning the competition in a thrilling voting with the song "The Start" followed by Ukraine's Sofia Tarasova and the song "We are one" and then third placed entry was Belarus' Ilya Volkov and the song "Poy so mnoy".
The Final Result as displayed on the Scoreboard in the Palace of Ukraine:

All in all the Team of Radio International on location had the pleasure

Interview with Gaia Gauchi - The Junior Eurovision Song Contest Winner 2013 for Malta:
What an amazing result for the sunny islands of Malta with the very
first victory at any Eurovision event. Members of the Team of Radio
International were in Kiev and witnessed the whole thing. Sadly, every
good event comes to an end, however, one still can remember the nice
moments and for 11 year old Gaia a dream came true - to win the Junior
Eurovision Song Contest. Radio International had the huge pleasure to
chat with Gaia live on last week's edition of the show and this week we
have coverage from Kiev when Gaia was interviewed before the show and
then after the Winners' Press Conference. You can hear both clips on the
show this week.
Junior Eurovision Song Contest Quiz - Part 2:
Courtesy of Head of Press of the Maltese Delegation Daniel, Radio International has five CD singles of the Winning Song "The Start" by Gaia Gauchi
to give away in a Quiz. The quiz went over two weeks (last week and this
week) where JP asks you five questions this week and add to this the five questions
from last week. Then the ten right answers should reach us at CONTACT not later than 17 December 2013.
The first five right entries will each receive the CD single of the the

Interview with Zlata Ognevitch
(Co-Host of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 & representative of
Ukraine at Eurovision 2013): At the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Zlata Ognevitch achieved an amazing 4th place with the song "Gravity" when she was carried on stage of Igor the Giant. The song "Gravity"
as well as other music from Zlata's repertoire was part of the Interval
Act at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 which she co-hosted with

Interview with Timur Miroshnychenko (Co-Host of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 & 2009):
It was already in 2009 when the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 was
hosted by Ukraine in Kiev when Timur was the co-host at that time with Ani Lorak who also represented the Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "Shady Lady".
As experienced TV Show Host and former co-host of the Junior Eurovision
Song Contest 2009 Timur was appointed for a second time to co-host the
show this year. JP had the pleasure to meet Timur for a quick interview
with the funny co-host which you can hear on this week's edition of

Last
week Radio International aired interviews with the Top 5
representatives to their country and this week listen to the next four
countries' young Ambassadors from Armenia, Azerbaijan, The Netherlands
and Sweden. The remaining three Radio International will air next week.
Interview with Monica Avanesyan (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Armenia):
In 2011, Armenia hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was
won by Candy Music from Georgia. Armenia's entry for 2013 is Monica Avanesyan and her team with the song "Choco Fabric"
(Choco Factory). The song received 69 points and with this ranks at
Number 6 in the list of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Listen to the interview on this week's edition of Radio International.

Interview with Rastam Karimov (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Azerbaijan): Azerbaijan having been very successful with a victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with Eldar & Nigar and "Running Scared". Always
great quality entries at Eurovision and Junior Eurovision. Farid
Mammadov achived the runner up position for Azerbaijan and young Rastam Karimov represented Azerbaijan with the song "Me and my guitar" reaching Number 7 at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 as the cutest boy in the contest received 66 points. Listen to the interview on this week's edition of

Interview with Mylene and Rosanne (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, The Netherlands): "I see double" said JP at the Welcome Reception when the Dutch Twins Mylene and Rosanne crossed
the way of JP during the Welcome Reception. Junior Eurovision 2012 came
from the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam where the Ukraine won the
contest with "Nebo" and also offered to host the contest in 2013.
JP and Lukasz had the big pleasure to meet twins for a fun interview
which you can hear on this week's edition of Radio International. The
Netherlands got to Number 8 in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013
with the song "Double me" receiving 59 points.

Interview with Elias Elffors Elfstroem (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Sweden):
At the Welcome Reception of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest the
performing young artists picked their starting position and so Elias Elffors Elfstroem from Sweden pulled number 1 as the opening act of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Det aer dir vi ska" maning "That's where we're going".
Elias was also the very first interview victim by JP and Lukasz in the
Eurovision week. Elias received a total of 46 points resulting in a
Number 9 position at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Listen to the interview on this week's edition of

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest History: A
new quarter has begun which also marks the start of a new series called
Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest History since Denmark for the
Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and with this will be hosting the 2014
edition of the contest in Copenhagen the Team of Radio International
thought to continue the tradition to reflect on all the Danish
Eurovision entries over the years. Denmark has won the Eurovision Song
Contest three time. It was first in 1963 when Grethe and Jorgen Ingmann performed "Dansevise", then the Olson Brothers won in 2000 with the song "Fly on the wings of love" and then in 2013 with Emmelie de Forest and "Only Teardrops". This week Dermot Manning continuous the series looking back at the Eurovision entries from Denmark.
Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.

Fisher
joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Luke will have it all for us during the weekly
edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics
such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
