Into the Pre-Christmas Season with Radio International: Eurovision Radio
International never stops and is keen on
keeping the music of the Eurovision Song Contest in the ears of the many
fans that join the show each and every week via the usual means either

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013: Habemus Winner.
The 11th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was staged at
Palace of Ukraine in Kiev, Ukraine on 30 November 2013 with a very first
victory for the sunny islands of Malta with Gaia Gauchi winning the competition in a thrilling voting with the song "The Start" followed by Ukraine's Sofia Tarasova and the song "We are one" and then third placed entry was Belarus' Ilya Volkov and the song "Poy so mnoy".
The Final Result as displayed on the Scoreboard in the Palace of Ukraine:

Live Interview with Gaia Gauchi - The Junior Eurovision Song Contest Winner 2013 for Malta:
What an amazing result for the sunny islands of Malta with the very
first victory at any Eurovision event. Members of the Team of Radio
International were in Kiev and witnessed the whole thing. Sadly, every
good event comes to an end, however, one still can remember the nice
moments and for 11 year old Gaia a dream came true - To win the Junior
Eurovision Song Contest. Radio International is proud to announce that
Gaia will be joining us for a few minutes on the show for a few minutes
to chat with us about her experience, the week in Kiev and the welcome
home in Malta. Gaia Gauchi won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "The Start" and a total of 130 points. Listeners
and Viewers are encouraged to send us their questions to the Queen of
Junior Eurovision 2013 during the show either via the chat on livestream

Junior Eurovision Song Contest Quiz:

week) where JP will ask five questions this week and five more questions

Interview with Sofia Tarasova (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Ukraine): In 2012, Ukraine won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with Anastasiya Petrykand the song "Nebo". Sofia Tarasova almost followed the footsteps of last year's JESC winner as the became the Runner Up with the song "We are one" receiving 121 points for the Ukraine. Interview with Ilya Volkov (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Belarus): Two times winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest - Belarus sent in Ilya Volkov to represent his country with the song "Poy so mnoy" which translates to "Sing with me".
He already took part as dancer in the Belarussian entry of 2012. Ilya
came third in Kiev. Listen to the interview on this week's edition of

Interview with Dayana Kirillova (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Russia): Russia was represented at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Dayana Kirillova and her team on stage caming 4th in the contest with the song "Mechtay" which translates to "Dream on". Interview with The Smile Shop (Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Georgia):
Also already won twice the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is Georgia in
2008 and 2011. This year the entry came from The Smile Shop
representing Georgia with the song "Give me your smile" reaching Number 5
in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013. JP had the pleasureto meet
the happy funny bunch from Georgia for an interview you can hear on this
week's show.
Interview with Victoria Romanova - Deputy Director of National Television Ukraine (NTU):
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest as well as the Eurovision Song
Contest require a lot of planning, organisation and coordination which
is a joint effort by the Host Broadcaster and the European Broadcasting
Union - The EBU. JP of Radio International spoke to Victoria Romanova
literally 90 minutes before the live broadcast of the Junior Eurovision
Song Contest about the organisation of this big pan-european music
event and its popularity in the Eastern countries. Very interesting
interview not to be missed.
Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest History: A
new quarter has begun which also marks the start of a new series called
Denmark's Eurovision Song Contest History since Denmark for the
Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and with this will be hosting the 2014
edition of the contest in Copenhagen the Team of Radio International
thought to continue the tradition to reflect on all the Danish
Eurovision entries over the years. Denmark has won the Eurovision Song
Contest three time. It was first in 1963 when Grethe and Jorgen Ingmann performed "Dansevise", then the Olson Brothers won in 2000 with the song "Fly on the wings of love" and then in 2013 with Emmelie de Forest and "Only Teardrops". This week Chris Poppe continuous the series looking back at the Eurovision entries from Denmark.
Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in

International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show.
