Welcome Reception & Red Carpet Interviews: Every year at
the Eurovision Song Contest the host city organises a Welcome Reception
and Opening Ceremony which can be watched by the fans and local people
and the many journalists and reporters covering the Eurovision Song
Contest for their media. There are
clips from the Red Carpet event where JP and Philip from eurovisiOradio
had the pleasure to co-interview some of the singers of this year's
Eurovision Song Contest. Throughout the upcoming editions of Radio
International the clips will be injected into the show for your
listening pleasure. This
week listen to an interview with Malta's Gianluca Bezzina.
Interview with Farid Mammadov (Azerbaijan 2013): Azerbaijan almost won the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the amazing Farid Mammadov who represented Azerbaijan with the song "Hold me"
reaching Number 2 with a totoal of 234 points. The Team of Radio
International had the pleasure to meet him for two interviews. This is
the second interview which is aired in this week's edition of the show.

Interview with Amadine Bourgeois (France 2013): Following in the footsteps of Anggun to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Amadine Bourgois was the Ambassador of France directly qualified for the Grand Final as
France is one of the Big 5 countries of Eurovision. This year's offering
is called "L'enfer et moi" and reached Number 23 in Malmoe.

Interview with El Sueno de Morfeo (ESDM)(Spain 2013):
As Spain is also one of the Big Five Eurovision countries and with this
directly qualified to the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. El Sueno de Morfeo represented Spain this year with the song "Contigo Hasta el Final (With you all the way)"
and unfortunately only ending up at Number 25 in the Grand Final,
although they are big artists in their home country. JP and Eric met the
singers for a couple of interviews which you can hear on this week's
edition of the show.

Interview with Natalia Kelly (Austria 2013): Earlier on this year Austria decided to hold a great national final which Natalia Kelly won and with this was selected to represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "Shine"
and with this following in the footsteps of the Trackshittaz from 2012.
Unfortunately, like in 2012 Austria could not qualify for the Grand
Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 as Natalia Kelly only could
reach Number 14 in Semi Final 1 when only the Top Ten advance into the
Grand Final. Lilian, David, Bert and JP met Natalia during her Meet
& Greet with the fans and the media and conduction an interview
which airs during this week's edition of Radio International.

Interview with Glen Vella (Malta 2011): One of the
good side effects at a Eurovision Song Contest is the return of previous
Eurovision participants as there are many parties around town where
these artists then pop up and perform their Eurovision entry plus more.
This was the case this year with the Bobbysocks, Linda Martin and Glen Vella
entertaining the many international Eurovision Fans tha came to the
Euro Fan Cafe. The artists already arrived for the Welcome Reception
and JP met Glen Vella at the Welcome Reception and used the
chance of a quick update interview and his impression of being back in
the World of Eurovision but not needing to compete. Glen represented
Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "One Life"
which failed by just one point to qualify for the Grand Final of the
Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Listen to this interview on this week's

Live Interview with author Nikki Allen: A huge fan of the Eurovision Song Contest herself and attending Europe's favourite TV Show for many many times Nikki Allen's ambition for a number of years has it to write and publish a book. This dream came true this week when her Eurovision novel was published. The novel is called "Somewhere in Europe" and tells a fantastic ficticious story around the Eurovision Song Contest on 532 pages. Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The Favourite Non-Winning Eurovision entries per country: The
Eurovision Song Contest 2013 is over and all our correspondents have
given us their views and favourite songs of this year's contest. So time
to get into the summer 2013 with a brand new series in which our
correspondents in the UK and Ireland look at our favourite non-winning
Eurovision entries per participating country. This week Dermot Manning continues the series with the countries D through F.
Eurovision UnderCover: Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich
will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest
entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing
the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the
cover. Enjoy the brand new series. Listeners are encouraged to send in
their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the
other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists: Radio
International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision
performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in
collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International
with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc
closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs
which are being featured on the show. This week new songs by Paolo Meneguzzi (Switzerland), Ira Losco (Malta) and Miro (Bulgaria).
