Image Interview with Gianluca Bezzina (Malta 2013) and more: On Saturday, 02 February 2013 Malta selected their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with a young medical doctor by the name of Gianluca Bezzina who will be the Ambassador of Malta in Malmoe waving the Maltese Flag and singing the song "Tomorrow" which won Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013 followed by Kevin Borg's "Needing you" as runner up. The full result can be viewed on the site of our colleagues of escflashmalta.com .Also Radio International will reveal the final result of the voting poll of our listeners. The poll closed Saturday at 1700 hours and a rundown of the 24 songs of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013 will be given during the show.
Radio International will air this week an interview with Gianluca after he won the national final but also an interview that was done before the contest together with his sister Dorothy Bezzina who also had a song in the competition called "Starting from the End". During the aftershow party JP also spoke to the composers of "Tomorrow" Boris Cezek & Dean Muscat and last year's winner of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest - Kurt Calleya who qualified Malta for the Grand Final in Baku with the song "This is the night". The interview with Boris and Dean - the composers - will be aired next week during Radio International.

ImageLive Interview with Annsofi (Norway 2013 Pre-Selection):  This coming weekend Annsofi will be competing in the national final of Norway with a song written and composed by Eurovision Winner Alexander Rybak ("Fairytale" in 2009 for Norway). Radio International is delighted to have a live interview with the singer this week during the show. We wish all the best of luck to Annsofi to do well during the Norwegian National Final. 
 
 
 
ImageInterview with Christer Bjoerkman - Mr. Melodifestivalen and Mr. Eurovision of Sweden 2013:  Head of Delegation of Sweden for many years as well as being one of the responsibles to set up the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmoe, Sweden - Lilian Brunell, our roving reporter in Sweden, has been at the Press Conference in Stockholm where the host of this year's Eurovision Song Contest was announced. Further Lilian interviewed Christer Bjoerkman which Radio International airs this week. As well as an interview with Edward Af Sillen who is also in the organising team of Europe's biggest music event and Melodifestivalen and was the commentator of SVT in Baku.
 
ImageInterview with Emmelie de Forest (Denmark 2013);  With Europe being in full swing of selecting their entries to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Denmark has had their go on 26 January 2013 where Emmelie de Forest won the national final with the song "Only Teardrops" and thus will be waving Denmark's Flag in Malmoe come May. The Radio International New Man and editior in chief of escXtra.com - Luke Fisher has submitted an interview with the the young singer for broadcast during this week's edition of Radio International. 
 
ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The 2013 National Finals with Ross Bennett: A brand new year has started and the Eurovision World is already in full swing of selecting their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 that will be staged in Malmoe, Sweden on the 14 May 2013 (Semi Final 1),  16 May 2013 (Semi Final 2) and 18 May 2013 (Grand Final) where so far 39 countries will be competing for the trophy and the rights to hold the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. As every year Radio International reviews the National Finals with the regular correspondents and this week it is the turn of Ross Bennett who will be taking a look at the selection process of  Denmark and Malta. Image Eurovision UnderCover:  Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where JP will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Enjoy the brand new series.  Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.
 
ImageNew Song Releases by Eurovision Artists:  Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show.

Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Luke will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
