Interview with SINPLUS (Switzerland 2012):  During the Swiss National Final 2013 which was held in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland on 15 December 2012, Radio International had the pleasure to once again meet and interview the brothers Gabriel and Ivan from SINPLUS who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Their entry "Unbreakable", unfortunately, only reached Number 11 in the Semi Final failing to qualify Switzerland for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. In Kreuzlingen, SINPLUS handed over the responsibility to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 to the Heilsarmee or Salvation Army who won the national final 2013. (However, the name of the band and stage outfit has to be changed.) OGAE Germany's Annual Convention 2013 - Interview with Frank Albers:  OGAE Germany's Annual Convention is scheduled to take place on Saturday 26 January 2013 in Wirtshaus zum Isartal, Munich, Germany with the participation of Tom Dice (Belgium 2010), Pasha Parfeny (Moldova 2012), Friderika Bayer (Hungary (1994) and Sandra Reemer (Netherlands 1972 & 1976) and guest of honour - Germany's Mr. Eurovision - Ralph Siegel. Frank Albers - the clubs PR Manager will be talking to Radio International live during the show to tell us all the details of this year's edition of the OGAE Germany Convention.  

 

Interview with Natalia Barbu (Moldova 2007):  In September 2012, OGAE Portugal organised their third Eurovision Live Concert together in and with the municipality of Setubal, Portugal just outside of Lisabon with the participation of many Portuguese artists and International Eurovision performers including Katrina of Katrina and the Waves (United Kingdom 1997), Niamh Kavanagh (Ireland 1993 & 2010) and more such as Natalia Barbu who represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Fight" reaching Number 10. The Team of Radio International had the pleasure to meet and interview the singer in the dressing room during the soundcheck of the event. 

 

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013 - Can we have your votes please:  As every year Radio International supports the Malta Eurovision Song Contest in which the Maltese Population and an International Jury select the most suitable song to represent the Maltese Islands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden come May. Like in 2012, pbs uses the same format where the national selection consist of a Semi Final with 24 artists that is narrowed down to 16 Finalists out of which the Maltese representative to the Eurovision Song Contest will be selected. Kurt Calleja won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "This is the night" which also made it sucessfully to the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku last May. Who will succeed Kurt? The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2013 will be televised on Friday, 01 February 2013 (Semi Final) and Saturday, 02 February 2013 (Final) and will be available to watch online as well. escflashmalta.com will keep you up-to-date with the developments.  Your Votes are needed:  Radio International will be conducting a pre-voting amongst the fans, listeners and viewers of the weekly Eurovision radio show. Eurovision UnderCover:  Last week, Radio International started a brand new series on the show featuring Eurovision Cover Versions where JP will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Enjoy the brand new series.  Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.

 

New Song Releases by Eurovision Artists:  Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show.

 

Eurovision Song Contest News:  Luke Fisher joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest. Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Luke will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. He also takes a look at some statistics such as viewing figures in the various countries and more.
