Interview with Sirusho (Armenia 2008): Armenia is a
rather "young" country to take part at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Their first entry was Andre in 2006 coming 8th, followed by Hayko coming
8th as well and then Sirusho represented Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the energetic "Qele Qele"
(C'mon C'mon) and achieved to date the best result for Armenia at the
Eurovision Song Contest. Inga & Anush followed in 2009 reaching
Number 10 and in Oslo in 2010 it was Eva Rivas' "Apricot Stone" coming
7th while in 2011 Emmy failed to qualify Armenia for the Grand Final.
Sirusho is a full-time singer in her native Armenia and has release some
fantastic songs and videos since her Eurovision participation. She has
also been the interval act during the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
2011 in Yerevan, Armenia last December performing a remix of "Qele Qele".
OGAE Portugal invited Sirusho to the Eurovision Live Concert which took
place last September in Setubal, Portugal, as she is a huge fans
favourite. Radio International was present and had the huge pleasure to
interview the beautiful singer backstage of the event.
