ImageInterview with Johnny Logan (Winner for Ireland in 1980 & 1987):  Savee Entertainment presented the Irish Winners' Tour 2012 which toured through the Republic of Ireland at the end of October. JP & Kristof of Radio International flew to Dublin, hired a car and drove to Limerick. A truely amazing event featuring five of the six Irish Winners of the Eurovision Song Contest. Dana, Johnny Logan, Linda Martin, Paul Harrington with Charlie McGettigan and Niamh Kavanagh taking the audience a trip down Eurovision Memory Lane. But before the show the Team of Radio International had the great honour and pleasure to meet and interview the double Irish Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest - Johnny Logan who in 1980 won the contest in The Hague, Netherlands with the song "What's another year", but he also won again some seven years on in Brussels in 1987 with the song "Hold me now". Then he composed a number of Eurovision songs and one of them in 1992 was performed by Linda Martin who subsequently won the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 for Ireland with a Johnny Logan composition called "Why me". All that happened in Malmoe, Sweden. Johnny tells us his memories of the three contests he has been as a Winner and also about his music projects he is involved in. ImageInterview with Glen Vella (Malta 2011):  Glen Vella represented the Maltese Islands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "One Life"  which came 11th in the first Semi Final unfortunately just missing ONE point. Glen was part of the guest line up of OGAE Sweden on 13 October 2012 in Eskilstuna receiving a huge welcome by the audience and the Mayor of the City. Also part of the Guest List were the following Eurovision performers: Joan Franka (Netherlands 2012), Esther Hart (Netherlands 2003, Birgitta Haukdahl (Iceland 2003), SINPLUS (Switzerland 2012) and the very first Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest - Lys Assia (Switzerland 1956). ImageChiara (Malta 1998, 2005, 2009) releases new song: Radio International has received news from Malta that Chiara has released a brand new song called "Forget Forgetting Me" which was premiered on Maltese TV last weekend.  Chiara’s new single is her first after signing up with the record label Hands Up Music. The song was written in collaboration of five European songwriters, two Swedish, two Icelandic and one Maltese. The outcome is a powerful pop song perfected with Chiara’s amazing voice. This release is a new beginning for Chiara, as she recently reached an agreement with a new international manager, Valgeir Magnusson who also manages Hera Bjork from Iceland.
Forget Forgetting me’ is a change for Chiara, most famous for her gentle but strong ballads. “For a long time now, I’ve wanted to work more on pop and dance music,” says Chiara about her new song. “I’ve been performing dance music for some time now and wanted to take it further to pop. At this point, I think I’ve found the right genre to express myself. I want things to be fun and playful, but with a sharp message. Women should have their opinions and never let anyone tell them differently. I want to deliver messages like that, mixed with the things I’m interested in at any given moment.”
Chiara will perform with The Yada Dance Company in San Francisco in January 2013. The 8 shows in San Francisco commence Chiara’s collaboration with the dance company, with which she signed a five-year contract earlier this year. The show combines dance and live music performed by Chiara, including her 2005 Eurovision song ‘Angel’. The show, Dance Rush – Feel the Power of Music, was performed in the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The show got a good reception and a standing ovation every night. Therefore it’s very exciting to watch how the show will be received in America, where it will première in the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre Friday, January 11, 2013. The last performance in Malta will be Sunday, 4 November 2012.
This week Radio International will premier  "Forget Forgetting Me" on the show this week. You can buy the song on ITunes here.
Also there will be new songs by Kaliopi (FYROM 2012) and Juliana Pasha (Albania 2010).
