Interview with Dana (Winner for Ireland in 1970): Savee
Entertainment presented the Irish Winners' Tour 2012 which toured
through the Republic of Ireland at the end of October. JP & Kristof
of Radio International flew to Dublin, hired a car and drove to
Limerick. A truely amazing event featuring five of the six Irish Winners
of the Eurovision Song Contest. Dana, Johnny Logan, Linda
Martin, Paul Harrington with Charlie McGettigan and Niamh Kavanagh
taking the audience a trip down Eurovision Memory Lane. But before the
show the Team of Radio International had the great honour and pleasure
to meet and interview the very first Irish Winner of the Eurovision Song
Contest - DANA who in 1970 won the contest in Amsterdam's Rai Congress Centre with the song "All kinds of everything".
Dana tells us the story of her way to Eurovision and the involvment in
the Irish politics and her great memories in the music buisness. Dana
released some 30 singles and 30 albums over the years and has stood for
election for the President of the Republic of Ireland. Enjoy listening

The run for representing Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest
2013 has begun with hundres of songs being submitted to the website of
Swizz TV who are organising the national final on 15 December 2012. Many
artists and composers of songs are seeing this as the chance to have
their music being published and made available to the audience. One of
the artists Radio International is delighted to interview with week on
the show. Dimitris Kiklis is no stranger to the show as he also
has been submitting entries to the Home Composed Song Contests. Dimitis
will attempt to win the Swiss National Final called "Die Grosse
Entscheidungssgow" and with this the ticket to the Eurovision Song
Contest 2013 in Malmoe come May. His song is called "For a lifetime" and Dimitis will tell us about him, his music and his ambitions.
Home Composed Song Contest 2012 - YOUR VOTES ARE NEEDED: As in previous years Radio International supports the Home Composed Song Contest
which is a songwriters competition across Europe and beyond. 2012 marks
the 21st edition of the Song Contest and the 2011 edition was won by
Denmark and this year's edition is hosted by Spain. Contact the website of the Home Composed Song Contest

. A total of 22 songs were submitted to compete in this years' contest. The
listeners of Radio International are encouraged to take part in voting in
this annual contest. All you have to do is to listen to the song and
pick your ten favourites and award the points in Eurovision style 1
(least favourite), 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points (most

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest: The latest series continuous where Radio International
correspondants take a look at the entries of Sweden to the Eurovision
Song Contest. Sweden won the Eurovision Song Contest five times kicking
off with ABBA's "Waterloo" in 1974, followed by the Herreys ten years on in 1984 with "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley". Then with Carola in 1991 when she won with "Captured by a love storm".
Swedish success continued in 1999 when Charlotte Nilssson took the
honours with "Take me to your heaven" and in 2012 Loreen took the trophy
in Baku for the Winning Song "Euphoria". But what about the
other great Swedish entries that did not win. It is time to check them
out on Radio International over the next few weeks. This week Ross Bennett will be joining the team in the studio to take a
look at the early days of Swedish entries which will be 1975 till 1980.
