ImageInterview with Alexander Rybak (Winner 2009, Norway):  As part of the Antwerp Pride's Closing Ceremony 2012 an afternoon  concert was organised with national and international artists performing live on stage. Also performing were from the side of the Eurovision Song Contest Kate Ryan and the Winner of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest - Alexander Rybak who won for Norway with the song "Fairytale" receiving the absolute maximum number of points every received of 392 from all the international juries at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. Alexander performed his winning song "Fairytale" as well as "Roll with the wind" and his latest song in collaboration with Romania's Paul Selling. After the stage concert the Team of Radio International interviewed Alexander Rybak which you can hear during this week's edition of the show. You can watch the interview as well by clicking here.
 
ImageInterview with Paul Seling (Romania 2010):  Paul Seling was also part of the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 Antwerp Pride. She beautifully performed Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" as well her latest offering called "Chiar pot zbura". Then the highlight was the performance of the new duet with Alexander Rybak together of the song penned by Alexander Rybak called "I'll show you" published by CAPSOUND and available by ITunes. Right after the interview with Alexander Rybak Radio International also interviewed the Romanian Superstar Paula Seling. Enjoy! You can watch the interview as well by clicking here.
 
ImageInterview with Sean Banan at Stockholm's Schlager Evening 2012:  The Team of Radio International every year travels to various events involving the artists of the Eurovision Song Contest and the national finals. This is also no exception this year and Lilian, Eric and JP were in Stockhom on 02 August 2012 interviewing various artists that performed at the 2012 edition of the Schlager Evening held open-air in a park in Stockholm city in Sweden. This week Radio International airs one more interview from this event and that is with funny comedian on Swedish TV - Sean Banan who reached the Andra Chansen (Second Chance) Contest in Melodifestivalen 2012 trying to qualify with the song "Sean den förste Banan"  lifted from the same titled album - for the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen. Radio International had already the pleasure of a very funny interview with Sean during Melodifestivalen 2012 and you can hear the follow on story this week on Radio International as Eric, Lilian and JP chatted with the Swedish TV Star.  
 
ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight - The Host Entries:  After reflecting on the 57th Eurovision Song Contest over the past weeks Radio International now continuous to present the new series with the Eurovision experts in the UK and Ireland to take you through the summer. The new series is taking a look at the entries to the Eurovision Song Contest by the countries that were hosting the contest e.g. this year the Eurovision Song Contest came from Azerbaijan and the Azeri entry = Host Entry is Sabina Babayeva. This week it is the turn of Chris Poppe who will be joining the team in the studio to take a look at the host entries of 1997, 2007, 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988 and 1998 .

ImageEuro Friends Song Contest 2012 - The Eight Final 3 Qualifiers with Andy Simon:  Andy is back with the Euro Friends Song Contest in search for the ultimate Eurovision song as voted for by the many fans around the world.  Andy is back to reveal the qualifiers from Eight Final 3 of the Euro Friends Song Contest 2012 which go through to the Quarter Finals.  The website of the Euro Friends Song Contest you will find here where you can easily vote for your favourite Eurovision songs you wish to see in the next stage of the contest and also see The Euro-Friends TV Show as hosted by Andy Simon. ImageHome Composed Song Contest 2012 - Call out for submissions:  As in previous years Radio International supports the Home Composed Song Contest which is a songwriters competition across Europe and beyond. 2012 marks the 21st edition of the Song Contest and the 2011 edition was won by Denmark and this year's edition is hosted by Spain. Contact the website of the Home Composed Song Contest to find out further details how to submit your entries and also what the schedule looks like.
